I respect the second part of your post much better and that's how i'll handle the subject in the future.

This isn't your typical message board. Until you figure out how it works around here, you are a noob. With the attitude you have, you will be for some time.MarkRoseHFX wrote:Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:Ballsy little noob... Who are you again?MarkRoseHFX wrote:or just SHUT UP

Yeah well doesn't mean i'm going to let myself get pushed around like i'm some noob just bc i haven't been on this board long. To me it doesn't make me any less of a Valiant fan or an important part of the new relaunch being successful. I'm really not a bad guy man just a few comments in this thread really didn't sit well with me. but i'm staying the hell out of these variant threads from now on bc it's just a headache.Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:Being a board member for a long time has it's perks.MarkRoseHFX wrote:Rubiks-Q-Bert wrote:MarkRoseHFX wrote:I don't see how in any way you and I are different in keeping Valiant going.

Is one of the perks of being a long time member having others think you're acting like a jackanape?
Seriously, you're throwing a seniority flag?
what's next? A penis measuring contest in the Spoilers section?

Think of it in these terms. When you step off the bus at basic training and you tell your DI to "shut the *SQUEE* up", regardless of context or tone, every officer or enlisted man within ear shot will be unappreciative.MarkRoseHFX wrote:yeah well sometimes long time members need to be told to stfuRubiks-Q-Bert wrote:It doesn't make you any less of a fan. I don't discriminate based on join date or post count when it comes to my stfu's
But six weeks later, you might be able to say that in the proper context and not get your nose broken.
None of us "old timers" want new people to bend over and shine our shoes, but if you want to take shots like that, and you haven't put any tenure in, well...
Keep in mind, you might be a fantastic individual, but we have no way of knowing that...you've only been here a month.
Also, popping onto a topic thread that you've already got an issue with, just to say you have an issue, and /or to assume that we're being whiny *SQUEE* isn't exactly the best way to win friends and influence people either.
I won't speak for the folks above, but I'd hazard a guess that the reasons above might be fairly accurate in explaining why your initial post wasn't met with champagne and flowers.
Just some food for thought.

Seriously frustrated with not being able to get variants
And back on point...my LCS (Borderlands Comics and Games rocks!) was able to find a third print of X-O Manowar #1 in Charlotte for cover price, so I can mark that off my list.
Now I'm just needing the second print of #1 and the second print of #2.
Oh, and the gold logo for X-O #1, and 1:50 of Bloodshot #1.
I've got a couple of ideas for getting my gold logo, but trying to coordinate with my LCS has been a bit of an issue...finding out what would work best for them and all that.
The couple of decent ideas I had the owner liked, but said if he did them he'd either want handled by his designer, or they were things he had already thought of himself.
I've pretty much resigned myself to not getting the A&A 1:100 for #1 right away...besides that sucker is butt ugly anyway.
I'm not even sure my shop ordered enough of #1 to get it anyway...

RQB, I think you need to lighten up on this newbie attacking. I'm pretty sure that is not how you were treated when you were new here. This forum is different, and one of the things that makes it different is we welcome new people with open arms, not give them crap about seniority. If you want to call him out on what he is saying, go ahead. We all do that here. But this "seniority" stuff is just crap.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Good point, it's always worth a reminder that it should be VERY CLEAR that the ONLY person around here with ANY real power is 'evil greg'.
All of the rest of us are peons and we need to remember that no peon has any power over any other peons... noob or not.

Just because one hasn't been on these boards since 2002 doesn't make you a newb, I started in Jan '12, but I've been reading Valiant since it began, hardly a newb. I'd gather most would agree.
As for the Variants, I gave up trying to get them months ago, I just don't care enough.
