If you make arbitrary exceptions, then yes, they are.

However, if they EVER release a shadowman or Rai collection of ANY kind, they won't be following the release order.

Clearly this shows that Rai, Shadowman, Magnus, and Solar will NEVER be a part of the NEW Valiant universe.

Sure, since they couldn't do a Rai collection now (which I'm sure they probably wanted to given the ammount of recolored pages at the wiki), they've gone off the original schedule.

That doesn't mean that 1) they're reprinting A&A out of popularity and 2) that those titles you list will NEVER (

) be part of the VALIANT Universe.

Solar already appeared in the X-O and Harbinger collections and Turok appears in the A&A collection.

I'm curious to know as to where you got the idea that there is a "new" VALIANT Universe when everything VEI has done so far has been set in the original VU.

Semantics. New company, new versions, whatever.

I think A&A is the better business choice. I have heard "Archer & Armstrong" mentioned as a title that people remember fondly from Valiant far more than any other title. This is just anecdotal though.

I'm not sure thats true. The hardcover releases (at the rate they're going at) could go on for YEARS. Until theres a monthly announced (or even a statement saying there will be monthlys) then we wont know if they'l ever happen.

Didn't one of the stories at rama or one of the press releases say something about VEI looking into doing comics early next year or something?

no idea, its now 3:38am over here and Im not in the best state to research that, whatever my original statement was. I think I was just trying to say my normal "I want comics" m'larky.

This sounds like a great HC. The new creative team is very well picked and the cover should be killer. It's sad to see BWS not involved but I don't think anyone is shocked.

I wonder if they called him? As much as I love the BWS issues, I always wondered what Shooter's take on the characters would have been if he could have continued from #0.

Don't get me wrong - it's great and all....

...but why reprint something in a $25 hardcover when the original issues will cost you $10 postage paid, tops, maybe less...If we want to publish a new Shooter story what's wrong with a $3 comic?

Just sayin...I'll buy one anyway, of course. Seemed to make more sense with Harbinger and XO, although I guess it isn't much different given the price and availability of the first softcover TPBs. Seems to hit home with A&A.

Great news but i'm a bit concerned over the unity issues.. no that good for understanding for new readers...

I might pass if my month is loaded.. I still think big essential in B&W would be great.... I don"'t see hardcover of solar 35-42 selling that much if it ever happen (in like 5 years at most) but hey that 's just me.

Though if they put Eternal warrior 1-7 (or better 1-8) I would go for that (with real dust jacket and full covers please...)

And they were excellent, if I remember rightly don't Archer & Armstrong go head to head with Turok? Thats a good one! So Valiant are still allowed to use past appearances of the Gold Key characters?

I love this announcement . . .

And Unity was written with the expressed intent that you didn't have to read all the crossovers if you didn't want to . . . so the story should be fine . . .

How awesome is another new Shooter story . . . . I'm getting 4 of these also . . . I already gave Harbinger and X-O HC's to my nephews as gifts . . .
