Nice job MotA, I'm sure that was a ton of work, and it looks good.
Thanks :)
You're welcome. Now I have to go fix all the things you got wrong about Solar. :)
Lol.

I did make an alteration to Solar's entry. Instead of saying that he came from a different reality, I said that he came from a different temporal dimension.
How about: "after the black hole that he created destroyed the world, he found himself back on earth, but seemingly in the past, before the events that changed him had even occurred. Further, Earth now was different. The most dramatic change was the existence of unusual and powerful beings."

Or something like that.

This avoids the need to define whether Solar came from a different reality or a different temporal dimension, thus eliminating any personal interpretation that goes into it.

Also, "wish machine"?!?

ManofTheAtom wrote:As those who have visited the new VALIANTEntertainment page have noticed, the site contains a Wikipedia-style VALIANT Universe Encyclopedia with summaries for the comics originally published by VALIANT.

This encyclopedia is for everyone in our community to become reacquainted with the stories and characters from the VALIANT Universe as VEI forges a new future for them. Feel welcomed to add and/or subtract from the entries that are currently available, as well as create your own.

As the author of much of the content in the wiki (taken directly from the comics), I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's reactions to it and hope that you enjoy my contribution to VALIANT's future.

Which one? The one with all the info?

Edit

I had to take the created by credit out of the page. Dino wants the site to look like it was written by Geomancers.

But don't worry, our credits live on in the History link.

Oh, that one, heh.

Right.

Yeah, just copy mine. I made it using the Character info boxes, then made some alterations.

I know it's in the comics. I think the notion that it is actually a "wish machine" is interpretation. It is a Fusion reactor, that's not interpretation.

If I am eating a tasty piece of cheesecake, and I say, "it is a slice of heaven", it's still just cheesecake, not a literal slice of heaven.

MY interpretation is similar. The reactor had the effect of making Phil's wishes come true, therefor, to him, it is a "wish machine". In reality, it is still a reactor though. Since the comment about the wish machine is from Phil's perspective, if I recall right, then I think this is a reasonable interpretation.

If, say for discussion sake, I was by the reactor when it blew, I don't think I would have ended up a millionaire, even though I wish I was.

Wish machine is definitely not a literal reference. It's not Aladdin's lamp, it is a reactor... that just happened to grant Phil his wish.

It's a wish machine in the sense that it is a machine that granted him his wish.

OK, we agree.

The way the wiki entry reads, it implies that the machine was a "wish machine" in the literal sense, not in this metaphorical sense that we seem to agree on.

I don't have any time to make any changes today, if you don't take a look, I might take a look tonight.

Here is a question. Does the information in the Valiant wiki indicate the direction that VEI is going to take when it comes to restarting/continuing the Valiant Universe? IE, if something is mentioned in the Valiant wiki, is it "gospel" when it comes to VEI? For example, Unity and Rai 0 events are mentioned, but post Unity stuff doesn't really seem to be listed. Nor is stuff from Unity 2000. Does that mean anything?

The Book of Geomancer is a summary of the published history of the Valiant Universe and is written by everyone. It is not company gospel and may or may not indicate the direction of future stories (depending on what you write :P)
