Timewalker, Solar and X-O
I posted my maps for Solar and X-O Manowar back on the 14th of Feb. They're on the first page of this thread.
Did the same for Timewalker on the 9th of Feb. First page as well.
But to answer your question, yes the pullouts should go first, or you could (probably should) just use the Alpha and Omega TPB as at least one of the pull outs has has a page of a regular issue on the back. I want to say it's issue 7.

Ah, thats right, sorry.
What about just buying an extra copy of Issue 7(?) and pulling it apart. I mean, if you plan on using books 1-10 anyways, wouldnt you want to pull the A&O pages out before the volume is bound?
As far as costs, this might be a bit cheaper? Is there any other reason to use the paperack? Any extra things in it?

Solar 7 versus the TPB
Getting a second copy would a decent idea. Depends on what the cost of the TPB is. I found a nice TPB for $10.00 so I used that one. The only extra in the TPB is the cover gallery in the back of the book.
For my regular issues I did pull the inserts from the comics. The paper also seemed a bit stiffer than the paper in the TPB. And the color was a little bit different as well.
I think either approach would be fine -- it falls more into personal preference.

Hey guys,
I got an email from Cliff VanMeter and he his having some difficulty at the moment, if anyone saw the auction for his Magnus Robot Fighter painting, you know what I mean.
viewtopic.php?t=20080
Well to anyone who donated to Cliff he decided to do sketches for them a nice consolation for helping him out.
When I emailed the size requirements of the what I wanted as it was going to be the first page of my Magnus Robot Fighter book, he stated he would be willing to do other sketches for characters so that I can get a few for a lot of books.
Email him for the pricing and details as they vary based on the number of characters background detail and all the rest.
cliff@cliffordvanmeter.com
Thus far
I am getting 3 different magnus sketches, one a Valiant Magnus the other closer to the Gold Key Magnus, as well as a Magnus headshot.
As well as a Bloodshot battle pose, a a Bloodshot as Rampage battlepose, and Bloodshot Headshot, and Ninjak sketch.
He will be putting them on paper that should be easy to trim to match the size of a comic book. and voila a unique bound book becomes that much more personalized.

I am for RAI, I have 1-3 and they are real nice, so the trade I got for 2 bucks will probably get the chop,
And if I cannot get a Harby 2 w/o coupon for cheap I may. I prefer the issues as I take the back covers off but I love keeping in the letters from shooter and the Knob Row profiles and Valiant news.

Forgotten Malev War chapter
In Bloodshot 5 and 6 I think (off the top of my head so look into it), in the 90's Gilad arbitrates between Bloodshot and the mafia and in the future Gilad is involved in getting the retired Rai back from the Malev he/she Emperor with the Rai of the future force.

I keep struggling with "the complete BLOODSHOT" map I keep forming in my head (trying to keep up with MOTA at the Wiki helps, too!).
Bloodshot has a one-page appearance in NINJAK #1 (I think it's #1). If I sacrificed a copy, could I submit that one page, separared, and get it bound in the collection?
Re: RAI. In addition to the Bloodshot issues. the saga continued in MRF after RAI ended its own run. Will anyone be getting those later MRF issues bound with their RAIs?
Just thinking my thoughts and asking my questions. Thanks for any help/opinions shared!

I dont do so much with just a 1 page appearance or even a guest star unless it was a cross-over such as Secret Weapons 20,21 and Bloodshot 27,28,29.
But as for the page from Ninjak 1, yeah you can seperate a page just leave it in loose where you want it in the book and they can bind it in.
1 example simliar is that I am taking the two covers from Ninjak 0 and 00 and putting them together so that they form a single image. The books will then be put in afterward without a cover dividing them. So you can edit your book anyway you see fit.
The binder just takes that stack you send to them and binds.

Is it the one page where Neville is showing Colin around the base and Bloodshot walks by, but since Colin is not in Ninjak gear he doesnt recognize him, right. I thought that was issue 2, but I know the page you are talking about.BloodOfHeroes wrote:Most sane people wouldn't include a one-page appearance, I agree.
Thanks for the answer. I really appreciate it!
Hey the thing about binding is that they are exactly the way you want it.
Insane according to some people I talk with about it is ruining books by having them bound in the first place.
Where as I love having them on the shelf, so its a matter of preference not sanity.

Yeah, that's the page. It might be in #2. I have to re-read those issues again.ncameron wrote:Is it the one page where Neville is showing Colin around the base and Bloodshot walkes by, but since Colin is not in Ninjak gear he doesnt recognize him, right. Exactly. I have enough Bloodshot books lying around that I can easily do a set. And it's a convenience factor for me. Beats unbagging the issues when I want to read them.thing about binding is that they are exactly the way you want it.

Hey guys. I sent out my first box to LBC. It had The Visitor and Armorines in it..
I wrapped each title in plastic wrap to keep them together and separate.
I sent this box out last week and have not heard back from them. Im hoping they will call this week.
Im a bit nervous, I hope I did everything the right way.

Please excuse my interruption...
The collector in me cringes at the thought of binding comics but your conversation has me intrigued.
Would I be correct in assuming that most of you guys have pristine sets of these comics but are binding your reader copies for easier accessibility?
How are you going about binding these in the fist place? I am imagining sorted comic runs punched with holes and kept in three ring binders...
Also, would any of you mind posting a pic of what your bound volumes look like?

I've bound 28 sets of Valiant books so far and actually love them more than just having them sit in my long boxes.sanman wrote: How are you going about binding these in the fist place? I am imagining sorted comic runs punched with holes and kept in three ring binders...

I don't have a recent picture of my shelf with my three bound Solar books. I also have X-O Manowar and Trinity Angels out for binding as well.
This is a look at the largest (thickest) book of my collection the 1032 page Archer & Armstrong volume.

I generally use rubber bands to keep the sets together. It has worked fine so far - no problems.IanAlexavier wrote:Hey guys. I sent out my first box to LBC. It had The Visitor and Armorines in it..

I wouldn't be to anxious about getting a call from LBC just yet. I've found it takes about four weeks from shipping to getting them back. I sent out my latest package on March 10. They received it March 12. I sent six books in the package. I expect to get a call from them next week or so. They return via UPS and from Texas to Ohio takes four days (on average).
I understand the nervousness. I remember when I sent in my first set -- but the return is fantastic! You'll enjoy your books!

You can always email Jim, james at librarybinding.com,
He can confirm delivery and give you an ETA on the books.
If not, they call you in about two weeks, tell you your order is ready take your CC number over the phone and they ship your books back.
Congrats on getting your first order out, its a crazy bug once you get rolling.
