I vaguely remember the Hitman being a thug for hire that had some type of super-power that allowed him to never miss? I'm not sure what it has to do with demons but he did have some fan fare and acclaimed well written stories in his hey day. Not a bad idea to pick one of these up for myself. :hm:

Yep, the direct editions were priced at 9 cents, this is basically just the newsstand version that they charged full price for. Apparently it's tough to find and they usually go for good money on eBay when they pop up. I learned about these variants from the CGC board a while ago and have been watching out for it for a long time. It finally paid off. The FF #60 is supposed to be the toughest one of the newsstand price variants from this group of books. I remember that one poster on the CGC boards was once willing to trade a Giant Size X-Men #1 for this book, and he was even having trouble finding a scan of it.

What do you want for it, and I'll save you the hassle of eBay?

I think I'm going to go the eBay route, unless you want to pay $40 for it. I've seen auctions for this book go higher than that, so I figured I've give it a shot and see how it does.

My interest was aroused by this and I looked around to see which comics were involved. I found this site :

http://stlcomics.com/gallery/moddiscmarvel/

Are these all of them ?

what are they going for ?

That appears to be all of them. Last time I tried to look at that page it was down, so I'm glad to finally see it.

I think the ones that are the more expensive ones are the FF#60 and the two error editions. I've picked up copies of the Daredevil and Hulk issues off eBay for very cheap.

I haven't looked for them in a while, so I can't say what the current going rate for them is.

Thanks! :thumb:

Actually I do have an extra Unity Red. I've been hesitant to sell it since it's a book I like so much (wish I had the hoard that Greg has!). My price is high for a Unity Red, though. If you're interested, you know how to get in touch with me.

I've got that Albedo #4, very cool book.

I think I'm going to keep a watch out for that Thor comic, cool cover and a first appearance to boot.

Yeah, nice pick ups Jay. :thumb:

The 1st Terrax is also a pretty cool comic and one I've been looking for for awhile.

I have done some trading with a guy at the flea market over the past few months. I traded hiim a long box and a little change of doubles that I had collected from various bulk eBay purchases for a Colecovision and a Magnavox Odyssey 2.

Yesterday, I was there and he mentioned he was looking to get out of the comics business. For $40, I took about 500 books home. But now, I am burdened with about 2 short boxes worth of doubles that I thought I had already gotten rid of.

Never let it be said that I don't own 23 copies of Warriors of the Plasm #1. Or 12 of Charlemagne #5.

That is a pretty cool Terrax cover and if I'm not mistaken a book from the 70's still (FF#211). I'm pretty sure I have a copy of that, but not included with my CGC Cosmic Marvel collection. I may have to try to find one. I have just been focusing on getting a high grade FF#65 (1st Ronan the Accuser). I ran into a fellow that had a 7.5 - but I'm looking in the 9.0+ range and thus far it has proven rather elusive.
I saw a high grade 1st Terrax go for over $150 on ebay before. Not sure if it was 9.6 or 9.8...

Thank god I only own 22 copies. Now I don't have the most useless hoard of Plasm 1s

One of mine is signed by Jim Shooter and David Lapham.

How many copies are required for a VfVSS? Could we pool our issues and do a VfDSS?
