Don't let this hijack the thread, but check out this clickbait headline....greatbrandino11 wrote:You won't get an argument from me. I predict a year (possibly less) for her new series and then...bawoosh.corey wrote:greatbrandino11 wrote:Here comes Riri Williams...

Evidence Is Mounting That Ironheart Will Replace Iron Man In The MCU
No, I'm not going to link to it, and I encourage everyone to not search it out so as to deny the author and site clicks, but with that said this guy's logic is that because Marvel is producing an Iron Heart comic series, then she will be replacing Tony Stark on film as well. Evidence is mounting here, guys.

The concept of diverse comic characters is great. Having heroes for everyone is great. But this hostile takeover and agenda driven bull *SQUEE* has me at my wit's end.

This is probably not news to anyone but anything by Francesco Mattina is super hot. I collect modern variant covers for fun. His stuff is flying off shelves. He has done some killer Harley Quinn covers recently. Two very recent examples are Heroes in crisis 1 NYCC variant and Suicide Squad 47.

I think I actually have two copies of that issue - although I’m certain one of them is really beat up...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
People are always looking for the next best first app to burst. I can't wait for he day where books take off in value because of amazing and legendary story content.... Superman Annual #11, Action Comics #775 and as a run [Superman (Volume 2) #44 | Adventures of Superman #467 | Action Comics #654] are examples of Superman books that should be market movers basically forever because of the story content, and basically nothing to do with first appearances (disregarding the first apps in AC #775).ShadowTuga wrote:Is Binary part of the MCU plans for Carol?grendeljd wrote:maraxusofkeld wrote:Uncanny X-Men #164 is gaining heat as the first Carol Danvers as Binary. Books like these would be great hoard books if the market spent more time recognizing content rather than only recognizing first apps.....

Agree with that sentiment. A great thread might be those types of books. For Batman, it might be the Dark Knight Returns, Year One, Court Of Owls, Long Halloween, etc.

Good call..... There would be a good number of Batman books. Same with Spider-Man. This concept also somewhat intersects the creative team runs threads....nycjadie wrote:Agree with that sentiment. I always thought Action 775 has been seriously undervalued for a long time. I almost feel like it doesn't make sense to sell copies at these prices....IMJ wrote:People are always looking for the next best first app to burst. Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era
It's one of those rare, definitive Superman stories that actually says something. It's pretty hard to do that with the character. I would say that Allstar Superman does it too - it just takes twelve or whatever issues to pull if off whereas Action #775 does it in one.GGSAE wrote:IMJ wrote:I always thought Action 775 has been seriously undervalued for a long time.
