Since finally getting a scanner I thought I'd add a good pic of the Mantra 1 Ultra Limited Archive Edition and the coa. You can see the embossed seal right above the silver Ultra Limited 5000.

HOLY CRAP... first time I have ever seen one of these !!

(sigh) looks like the list just got bigger.

Do you have any further info on this or others ? I would assume that the other titles would have something similiar, i.e. Prime, Hardcase etc.

Oh yeah... how much do you want for it ? Or perhaps need in trade ?

What makes that any different than the regular Ultra 5000 edition (The COA)?

No, see the embossed stamp above the 'Ultra 5000 Limited' ? That is what make this book unique.

TKWill wrote:One question that I have. I didn't notice it listed but I have an Exiles vs. the X-Men Limited Edition.

Most of the books on the list specifically differentiate but this one wasn't on there, should it be added?

I don't have another premium edition to compare it to.

I think that Hobo threw this in with some stuff I bought off of him, so thanks Hobo. :thumb:

Here is a pic of the more limited variant edition (not a bad pick up on my part for $2.00 huh ?):

I have to laugh though because when I was writing back and forth to Tom Mason (marketing dude for Malibu/Ultraverse),

one time he wrote something to the effect 'we were putting numbers on just about everything trying to make it even
more collectible, limited and rare'.

Now the book above was only made with a max of 500 which is very cool but see how they made a collectible by
just fiving the book a raised seal and a COA ?
Still cool enough though.

Like this book here:

Image

I have a copy (I'll try to scan it here in a bit) that I got from Tom Mason as a freebie that has different wording on the 'balloon' and is numbered.
I asked what this was and he said that they were trying to make it more collectible by putting a number on it.

I find it very odd though that when Ultraverse came out (I was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC at the time), I NEVER saw these things.
Yes, I saw and ordered the stuff from American Entertainment but these odd ball things that seem to be coming out of the woodwork over
the past three years (or whenever I started collecting Ultraverse again.

I FINALLY picked up a copy of The Ferret (green foil) cover. It was at my LCS for a whole $.20 cents. It has an auto on it but thats ok as long as I have the book.

None for sale or trade atm, lighter in photo to give an idea if size. I figure they must of been from some convention or something, no clue though.

I've got a bag of 50. They were really really cheap.

Will be publishing my Ultraverse needs list soon. The bad thing about that is all the (alternate cover) stuff since you never know which cover that means.

I think there was one for Prime too.

Don't quote me on that 100%. I couldn't even tell you where I heard that.

Flip book, four-issue miniseries with a variant cover on No. 4. It's on the list under Necromantra (there is also a Lord Pumpkin standalone issue 0)

My want list:

Hardcase and Strangers gold holograms.

I'm missing a few others but I lost my checklist. These are the two I really want though.
