I recently had the chance to look over a majority of the galleries and WOW, just WOW!!!
As a collector: I have to give all of you kudos on such amazing collections. I don't think mine is worthy of the board … just yet.
As an investor: If Valiant ever gets itself going again some of you stand to make a hefty profit (if you'd be willing to part with a few goodies).
I would love to see the day that one, or several, of these characters make the big screen. I'd be there opening night, first viewing!
Would love even more to get some serious talent on board and get the whole universe back in motion!

I like seeing the HARBINGER FILES #1 pages marked "Inv" for an inventory issue. I have many of the original colors [none of the pages woth MOTA on them, for some reason] for that issue and the colored pages are marked "HARADA #0."
So it went from a "filler" issue, to a #0 issue to a HF #1 issue. Maybe it's just me, but I really geek out on stuff like that.
(Awesome collection, BTW!)

Great info on the markings. I was wondering what "inv" stands for and now I know!BloodOfHeroes wrote:I like seeing the HARBINGER FILES #1 pages marked "Inv" for an inventory issue. The pages originally had white removable tape across the the writings at the top. I removed the tape for the pic. Harbinger Files #1 is one of 2 Valiant issues by legend Dave Cockrum (the other being Turok Yearkbook).
I got both pages for $32 shipped which I thought was an awesome deal.

I got this idea reading recent posts of members’ favorite pieces and the wonderful pieces of original art that members have . . . How about we start a sticky in The Valiant Gallery section for just original art that we have? The 1st post can serve as a “Table of Contents” that lists the thread page/member/title/issue/issue page/description. For example, the 1st post can have something like:
Thread Page . . . . Member . . . . Title . . . . Issue . . . . Issue Page . . . . Description
1 . . . . BrotherJ . . . . X-O Manowar . . . . 2 . . . . cover . . . . 3M art
1 . . . . iggy101us . . . . Harbinger Files . . . . 1 . . . . 12 . . . . inks
.
.
.
.
And so on
Each member can post pictures of their art. As a member acquires more art, he would just edit his post instead of starting a new post. Then whoever maintains the 1st post can continually update the “Table of Contents” as new art is added. I think it would be awesome to see all the Valiant original art in one thread, rather than having to go into each member’s gallery look for the art. Of course, members can still update their individual gallery.
What do you guys think? I can volunteer to maintain the “Table of Contents” unless someone else really wants to do it.
