Matching LaRosa art & slabs. NOT easy to do in 9.8, as Valiant books are notoriously condition-sensitive with lots of minor flaws typically.

VEI 9.8s are impossible! I've resorted to scouring shops around here. The problem is, hardly anyone sells Valiant books and none in any quantity.

Nothing real about it, but my favorite VEI title right now is Dysart's IMPERIUM.
I made a deal over the summer to ship some Valiant Comics to India, in exchange for not money or other comics, but rather original artwork by artist Vivek Goel.
The FIRST of these pieces was UNITY NOW! which features an updated character and setting version of 1992's UNITY #0 that we all love with such fondness.

For the SECOND of these pieces, I decided to execute a little "wish-fulfillment" and have Vivek create an IMPERIUM cover that featured both myself and my wife Grace as members of The H.A.R.D. Corps "Special Covert Weapons & Infiltration Detachment" (S.C.W.I.D. Team ONE).
The results are as much as any fan could hope for and more.
