Anyone? Anyone? A couple minutes of research goes a long way.

They're now invalid auctions! YES!!!!

A small victory for the little guy...
A side note to Ghetto D...... This guy was listing an auction for Hulk #181, but was actually selling a grab bag of books, not guaranteed to have that book in it (a violation of eBay policy). If you want to see what the auction actually looked like, try this link:

The really good news? He's still running the same scam....

Another little gem.

I know if I had a 9.6 Amazing Fantasy #15 I couple it with my 9.4 copy and every other high grade big dollar book and sell them in one crazy auction and yet people are bidding, someone's gonna lose big on this one.

Check this out! He has a couple of these up for auction. Folks, don't buy them. I have 30-40 of these that I got at a comic con once. Heck, I'd sell them if I thought I could get this price for each.

Well, I might be wrong about the promo cards...someone pm'd me and said they were worth about 3 bucks each. Who'd a thunk it? I guess they are hard to get for the Valiant completist.
Still, I wouldn't pay that much just for one card, since there are something like 30-40 of them, I think (I'd have to get back home to my collection to count them).

I like this one, not an auction but an ebay store...

I especially like his statement: "So please do not leave negitive feedback if you buy 1 bag and get no high dollar comics, I will respond with negitive feedback myself, the same goes for netural."

Do you think that Smith4080 and comics12400 are the same person or at least friends. he posted a tons of stuff and bought it all so that he could get the feedback and push the negs onto the 2 second page. smith4080 bough a ton of random crap and left all the feeback at the same time...of course comics12400 has not left his feedback yet...oh and some of the auctions had counters that were at 1 when I go to them...oh and the picture is the same on all of the auctions and was not of comics...Plust isnt this sort of thing not allowed on ebay? How on earth is buying these things? I cant imagine that you could ever except to get that hulk 181..

The best thing about this auction is that he doesn't have to EVERY include any high grade books. If questioned, he can say someone ficticious already won the Hulk 181. So this is just a scam for the stupid and hopeful. What a freaking loser.

eBay still gets to make money and this clown still gets to scam people.... he ended the GS X-Men auction and reworded it on this item:MagnusRF wrote:The really good news? He's still running the same scam....

The bit about "As Per ebay policy I cannot list what comics are included in the grab bags as that would make this auction a lotto which is against ebay rules," is a nice touch.
Ain't capitalism great?

In the immortal words of Homer J. Simpson.....WOOO HOOOO!!
As of this morning, all of the "grab bag" auctions are gone! One was ended by the seller, the others were ended by eBay!
I guess eBay does occasionally have a conscience.
Before anybody brings it up, I don't usually hop on the old high horse and get medevial on people's buttocks, but what this guy was doing was flat out WRONG. I'll even let shades of grey float past most of the time. I don't plan on making a habit of this type of thing.

I am sure that it is less a matter of ebay conscience and more of them feeling that they are getting screwed on FVF on these types of auctions..everyone should report anything they feel like reporting on ebay...it really is all that you can do...well that and maybe drop an alert on the boards so everyone knows what is up...

Media mail usually runs pretty good for me, but keep in mind I'm near the center of the nation. My understanding is that media mail is the last mail to board anything, be it a plane, truck, or train. If there's a light load on a particular day, you get lucky and make it aboard. If the priority and first class are heavy (like through Christmas) then you get shuffled to the back....
