I have a couple of sets of all four covers for UF 4 ... should I sell or hold? And what price if I were to sell?
In my opinion, if ever there was a book to hold long-term, it's this one. (Of course, I like the first Silk, also.) You have two copies of the incentive variant? If they are high grade, those are particularlly special books. They seem tough in stict NM. I would research what they've been selling for, but I would definitely make sure you get bank for those.
No way I'd even think of selling a NM copy of the incentive variant for less than $100. A VFNM copy is very attractive too.

I'm just adding info and not disagreeing or throwin gas, but in all the shows I do, which is a lot...

I've never had anyone ask for this book. Not one time.

"If" he is in a movie.... Then, wow.

But if not........

A first and second print today sold for 29.99. That's really off the hook. I couldn't sell a set like that for 4.99 a year ago.

It took this seller between October 27th and January 11th to sell 6 copies of Ultimate Fallout #4 first print at 3.99 each. This is not an anomaly. This was a 3.99 book about a month ago.

It's been surging wildly on eBay over the last 4 weeks. It's at least tripled in price over that time. At some point I would think conventions and stores would catch up with that.

I've seen a definite run on Amazing Spider-Man Vol 3 #4 in the last 48 hours. The only thing I can think of that may have spurred the run is Silk #1 being on the order form for February. There could very well be a different explanation. Sales on eBay yesterday of this issue include:

(Keep in mind these are all sales that happened yesterday. It's also possible I'm missing a few.)

4 copies at 7.99 ea

A CGC 9.8 copy for 50.99 before shipping (seller raised last copy to 69.99 after that sale)

A 1:10 CGC 9.8 at 84.99 before shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spider- ... 58b7339650" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

2 sets of Amazing Spider-Man 1-5 (all Cindy Moon appearances) at 27.19 ea before shipping http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-SPIDER- ... 58b81d8a0d" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The above post is from December 2nd. Now we can see the book have been doing quite well since then. Silk #1 has sold out, btw.

Very few Iron Man books get any kind of heat. I guess 281 and 282 do OK with War Machine. First appearance of Rhodey (118) seems like it should be worth a bit more (you can get a decent copy for under $15).

That stupid alcoholism issue still gets $40-50 for some reason, despite having a storyline where Tony quits drinking cold turkey like some heroin junkie.

I'm hoping this book takes off. I was able to get a ASM #4 variant this weekend.

Ugh. Should have bought #4 when you guys were going on about it.

I'm going to see about getting all of the Vol. 3 stuff from someone on CGC boards, though. I'll keep you updated on how much I get away with.

Wow. That is great. I should have listened to you. I do have a few copies. But I still could have had some at around cover this weekend.

Congrats StarB

In related news, though, it looks like one can obtain all of Superior Spider-man in NM/NM- for less than cover.

I may just wait for ASM #4 to inevitably cool off and just get the rest now.

ASM 4 may cool off, but I think it's a long-term play. It may cool off at $20-30 or higher, too. Thanks for the congrats, Big E. It just blew me away that a brand new character emerged in the Spider-Man mythos that was bitten by the same spider that bit Peter. When I heard that I reacted strongly. Even started a thread about it. Lol
