So I just stoped by a place...... real quick..... I only had a few bucks.

The guys told me a few weeks ago tha the had some Valiant that he just found and that he would bring it in for me.

I went to see him last week..... a bunch of common junk....... thanks but no thanks.

SO I stopped by real quick after work.

I asked him if he borught any more...... he said, "well you already say the other stuff..... but I did find this...

He pulls out a XO #1, Shadowman #1, Rai #0, and an EW Gold #1!!!!

Not only that...... but like...... MINT. Not NM..... like the nicest copies I have ever seen. Now I can grade..... but at least 9.6. The Ew gold, is perfect. I have never thought about submitting a book, but if I did, it would be my first submission..... by far.

I was totally stoked.

$7 out the door. I had to go and get some change...... but I got them.

I know it's not a super rare book...... but they are super freshly minty.

Good work, I had a good time at the local comic shops today, as well. I came across a super rare Superman: Man of Steel trade paperback that is supposed to be super limited. I'm hearing as few as 20 copies, which I don't believe. It's put together like the Unity Diamond trades. Too bad it's beat to crap, but still...

Do you have any more info on this book? I know there's a thread on the comicspriceguide forum about it, which is where I got the 20 copies stuff. Another guy thinks there might be as many as 5,000.

It's MUCH tougher to find the flat in high grade compared to the embossed. I'd rather find a high grade flat over a high grade embossed any day.
