Geez, you're pretty late to the party of properly coding your bonded statement, aren't you?StarBrand wrote:Thread disclaimer:
I realize not all posts made in this thread are breaking news on modern prices, so no one needs to spam this thread by saying I'm late to the party or anyone else is late to the party when posting a price in this thread on a modern book. The intention of this thread isn't to break news on modern prices, but rather to potentially equip members of this community with info to go forth with when making comic purchasing decisions. If a price on a modern book has never been pointed out in this thread before, even if that price is ten years old, it is seen by me as potentially helping members of this community by providing pricing info on said modern book. It's only common sense. Did all the early posts in this thread point out breaking price news on modern comics? Anyone not understanding this and expecting all posts in this thread to be breaking news has a gross ignorance of the purpose of this thread. I would again ask an abandonment of ignorance and spamming by pointing out a price mentioned in this thread might not be breaking news.[/b]

Battle Scars mini with the 1st appearance of Agent Coulson has potential to be a hot book in my opinion.

The book is escaping me right now, but it's not battle scars.
I'll look when I get home and share.

El - is that Iron Man AOS movie tie in the first AC? Then the 616 intro (as Cheese) is Battle Scars 1 and he is named in Battle Scars 6

It's my understanding that it is. Although Nick Fury J., who also makes his first full appearance in this series, is shown in a photo in another series (Fear Itself?).comicsyte95 wrote:That would be much appreciated brother.Elveen wrote:It's not the 1st AC.comicsyte95 wrote:Battle Scars mini with the 1st appearance of Agent Coulson has potential to be a hot book in my opinion.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
I thought that his first MCU was in the Marvel "digicomic" Iron Man 2 - Phil Coulson: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #1, which was later published in comic book form in November 2010 but I could be wrong..
but his first mainstream Earth-616 continuity, was in Battle Scars #1 as Cheese and named in #6 (as Trenton Sy said)

If I am not mistaken Battle Scars was first 616 (regular continuity) thus the hoopla when it was revealed. Explaining why "Fury" trusts Coleson so much.Elveen wrote:kjjohanson wrote:Is that based on the movie (i.e. is it in regular continuity)?Elveen wrote:Jay Tomio wrote:Iron Man/The Incredible Hulk/Nick Fury #1

Sounds right. I do know that battle scars is not the 1st app.

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
Which does bring up a interesting question... What will be more valuable? A movie/television character's 1st app. or their 616 1st app? Just thinking as they introduce new characters (I.e. Nick Fury jr., Agent Coulson, or even Ward, Mei, Skye etc.) this could become a thing?Elveen wrote:Ramses818 wrote:If I am not mistaken Battle Scars was first 616 (regular continuity) thus the hoopla when it was revealed. You would kinda figure that the Ultimate Nick Fury would get some heat, since that's sorta the first appearance of the movie Nick Fury, no?

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
If I remember correctly, someone noticed that Marvel filed a trademark for Squirrel Girl that suggested that she would be used in a movie. So if that doesn't materialize in the near future, I expect the book will drop off a bit. If it does materialize, that book will explode. My understanding is that it's really tough in high grade.Brother J wrote:hulk181man wrote:Wow! Just noticed this one -![]()

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
There is a rumour that Eden Sher of the Middle has been cast in a Marvel movie. My wife and I have discussed it several times and I have a hard time imagining that she could be cast as anyone other than Squirrel Girl. The wife says she is rumoured to be cast as the new Ms. Marvel, the muslim one. I cannot see her fitting that role at all.kjjohanson wrote:If I remember correctly, someone noticed that Marvel filed a trademark for Squirrel Girl that suggested that she would be used in a movie. Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics
I definitely thought so since Brian hitch even came out and said it was designed on Samuel L Jackson. And that's why Samuel L Jackson was cast in the movie was because of ultimates number one. And they even made a joke about it in ultimates five or six I can't really remember right now. But since they introduced Nick fury Junior that's all kind of by the wayside I think because the natural assumption is it was based on that character instead of what it actually was which is the ultimate version.kjjohanson wrote:You would kinda figure that the Ultimate Nick Fury would get some heat, since that's sorta the first appearance of the movie Nick Fury, no?
