I am very pleased to announce that I have confirmed the existance of Leonard Nimoy's Primortals vol 1 #3 gold foil signature.
I took a chance and picked one up from artmart off Ebay. We talked about it a bit, he way saying that it was in incentive book but I say 'hey, I dont think that is possible, I mean I have heard talk of this issue but have NEVER come across it.' We brokered a deal and it arrived today... well by Shooter, the book is for real.
I will add it to the list...hehehe ANOTHER to go out and find, men !!!

I am TOTALLY diggin' all of this current Tekno discussion. I for one really dig this line of books and am SO freakin' close to being done.

Yes, and thanks. I was pretty leery about picking it up but sometimes ya takes your chances.Rocket2600 wrote:Nice find there Knightt.
You seem pretty knowledgable on this line, have you seen it before or heard of it ? I saw it listed for sale on an online comic shop but they didnt have any in stock. I called the place and the guy gave me some story about how rare 'that' one was blah blah... yeah a ultra rare book that nobody wants.... come on... TEKNO ? LOL
I picked up 85% of my Tekno books, mint in a $.10 cent section.
Did anyone know that John Taddeo was involved with Tekno comics ?
I can't believe this... fatback bustin' my balls ???fatback wrote:Hey what issues do you still need , the commons or the incentives because I've got a stack of about 30 duplidates that if you need any of them they are all yours. I just thought I would periodically bust your ball about getting that needs list from you
. But seriously they are all yours if you want them. None of them are Incentive books , IE. Gold Sig. or Steel Edition.
If anyone else is interested in giving this Interesting and definately different Dead Universe a try feel free to PM me because I'm always looking to trade
LOL I went through my temp needs list last night from my SDCC finds. I have some major housework to do around here and should have something this evening.

I just got a reply e-mail back from John Taddeo. He used to be over marketing their at Tekno/Big E. What he said about the Gold Signature issues.
"I had forgotten about those. I don't remember what the print runs were exactly, but I know they were very small on the Gold Signature editions. I'd guess easily under 1,000 advertised, but likely much less were made because Tekno had produced quite a few "Collectable" items even before the books had shipped - which is usually the reverse order of things."
Just thought I'd pass along the info.

Thank you. This helped me a lot as I thought it was a comic.Vault-Keeper wrote:It appears that it was released in Nov. 1997. You can find copies of it (as an illustrated novel) on Amazon.com.---SteveFlinx wrote:ANNE MCCAFFREY'S THE UNICORN GIRL (B): 1
Was this ever released, as it is only here that I have seen it listed?
If it was released then I need 3-4 copies.
I actually already had a copy of it. It is published by Harper Prism with the credits page stating "copyright 1997 by BIG Entertainment Inc"

Don't you mean Mike Hammer Stone.
Just kidding man, hey I PM'd you with the issues you have that I'm interested in. I apologize with being tardy on my response
Get back to me and let me know what you think. I'm also looking for certain Ultraverse and Valiant and Milestone and Continuity Issues if you have any issues I might need.

OK, here is my up to date Needs List as of 10 September, 2006.
ANNE MCCAFFREY'S THE UNICORN GIRL (B): 1
FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (B): 1 (painted cover)
ISAAC ASIMOV'S I-BOTS VOL 1 (T): 1 (GS)
ISAAC ASIMOV'S I-BOTS VOL 2 (T): 7
LEONARD NIMOY'S PRIMORTALS VOL 1 (T): 2 (GS), 4a
NEIL GAIMAN'S MR HERO: THE NEWMATIC MAN VOL 1 (T): 2 (GS)
Nn = no number
GS = Gold Signature Edition
SE = Steel Edition
P = Polybagged
U = Unbagged
(T) = Tekno Comics
(B) = Big Entertainment
I even uncovered this beauty and am deciding just where to put it in the list (IF I put it in the list).

It 'appears' to be an ashcan but 100% comic size.
Here is the back cover (hmmmm any name look familiar ?)

This does not have any 'inside' pages.
