Someone's already done it. I have aplaster X-O somewhere.x-omatic wrote:have you ever thought of buying one of those rubber mold kits? you could then make a few copies.greg wrote:Give the credit to Jimmy Palmiotti... his name is signed on the bottom.Dead_Poole wrote:Wow greg. Very nice work there. Maybe you should be looking for a license as well lol.
I was lucky enough to purchase one of the two (or three) prototypes,
but I certainly didn't do anything to help in their creation.

Anybody know of someone that can make my X-O statue as nice as Layton's? Mine has some minor casting flaws that have to be fixed & it actually is in three pieces as the base is separate from the arms. The arms were made separate & later joined with base of the statue. I just want the arms attached, the casting flaws worked out, & a nice paint job sprayed on. Anybody good at such a task? ~Erskine

If you ever communicated with B3, I'd recommend him. The custom figs he did were great and he's quite the artiste!Erskine71 wrote:If that's the "right" way of doing it then yeah... Know anybody good? ~Erskine
If you didn't, LMK and I'll try to put him in touch with you. I think the semester's almost over...

But, I think I could do it. My problem would be 'what if' you didnt like it. That would be a terrible thing to have and say "I HAD this really cool X-O Manowar statue... until KNIGHTT screwed it up."Erskine71 wrote:Knightt_333 wrote:I would think you would want someone to hand-paint it, epoxy the pieces on and use sculptors clay to finish out the rough stuff.

How 'damaged' is it ?
It's just your typical casting stuff... Not really 'damage'. More like rough edges & a couple spots not entirely filled in. My thinking is that anybody that was good enough to do a good paint on it would be good enough to fix the imperfections. ~Erskine

I've only ever "talked" with B3 through the old Yahoo groups we had before Greg got this message board. I'd definitely like you to see if he'd care to give it shot. Thanks, ~Erskine
