If you're a SPAWN collector, this issue is probably on your checklist.....no different than MALIBU SUN #26-up being on the Ultraverse checklist, IMO.---Steve

Would you actually pay more for a preview book than an actual comic book appearance ? Now, historically preview books 'in general' command more in price but I would say for the fact that they are preview books and not 'first appearances'.

Here's my take, and it may be a chicken's way out. I look back to the dawn of time (in comic terms anyway :P ) to Marvel Comics #1. It's the first newsstand appearance of Sub-Mariner. There's Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1 that originally had the exact same Subby story and is credited as the first printed Sub-Mariner. MPFW #1 was intended to be given away at theaters but likely never made it there outside of one possible theater in Boston.

So you wind up with the first printed appearance and the first newsstand appearance. The former was given away (like MPFW was intended) and the latter sold (like MC #1 actually was).

How's that for going a long way to say nothing? :D
