As Winston Wolff from Pulp Fiction might say to you...myron wrote:Even if it's bad, having a LCS is better than not having one...I have to drive 30+ minutes to even find the door to one...

Actually, I've never been to Watertown, so I'm not sure what's it's like. What's your closest shop? Milwaukee, Waukesha or elsewhere?

i don't think i could start buying 10 books a month...i just picked up ultimate ff and i really like them...but i don't have room for the stuff i've got. i just know what a slippery slope collecting is...once you start one it's all downhill from there. the great thing about valiant has long been the ablity to pick something up rather inexpensively, sometimes score big, and always have the thrill of the hunt...but knowing that 100% is (somewhat) attainable...
i honestly don't understand the what's going on out there. most stores seem to be run by guys who are just wiped out. bushed. they seem to hate comics, the industry, and don't seem to like most of their own customers. (i kinda agree with them there...
) i just don't see how things can continue. all the problems with storage that have been mentioned are problems around these parts too..which just adds to the overall sense of dissatisfaction....it almost makes you want to guve up collecting you know? so send your books to this address:

I know what you mean about the attitudes. I get that a lot from the shops around here. There are a few though that actually love the business and go out of the way to help their customers.dave wrote:i don't think i could start buying 10 books a month...i just picked up ultimate ff and i really like them...but i don't have room for the stuff i've got. i just know what a slippery slope collecting is...once you start one it's all downhill from there. the great thing about valiant has long been the ablity to pick something up rather inexpensively, sometimes score big, and always have the thrill of the hunt...but knowing that 100% is (somewhat) attainable...
