Also think we'll see a new #1 for Bloodshot as an ongoing once Bloodshot U.S.A is over - I hope so anyway, if not, I may just be off Valiant - not down with waiting months between issues of series I like -Gen Zero, Harby have little interest at the moment due to the time taken to release new material.
I believe Dinesh said there will be one more BS:R issue after BS:USA. So yeah, it's looking at another restart.
Yes, "renumbering doesn't count, the important is the content, #1s drive sales which is great for indies, etc, etc, etc" I get that, before anyone says it.

Then why I am I (again) disappointed that another title will be renumbered for whatever reason?

3 Bloodshot #1s in the horizon in 5 years or so. wow.

If this is really making things better for VEI, i immediately shut up- but right now, those numbers are terrible, apparently. Will they pull a brand-new #1 every 2/3 months now, because they have to?
This trend. Is. Confusing. For new readers and for "a little behind" readers. Not only Valiant's fault, but the market is really stoopid right now. It seems like the readers are dumber and can't (because lazy) keep up with a series that has a high number of issues.

I hear ya, man. It's like a cycle that feeds on itself - high numbered series may have an adverse effect sales, but it can't go on like *this* forever either. It doesn't do any favours for anyone who isn't already in the swing of a series stopping & starting.

My theory is that the Valiant convention booth stocks everything and when it gets low, they need to re-order a couple cases of this, a couple cases of that.

Similar theory would be that Amazon might keep a small number (for them) of books on hand based on previous sales, and when they get low, they may order a case of this, a case of that.

If I wanted to throw an even further theory out there, perhaps Valiant is stocking up for some additional Valiant booths that might run in two places in the same week... or three places... or Europe... or Asia. :hm:

Pretty sure the reason for that is that they got remaindered and were offered very for very cheap. cheap-comics.com has them on sale for a fraction of the cover price right now. It also means that it's very improbable that we'll ever see second volumes for them.

I'll second that theory - my LCS ordered them on clearanc at a criminally low cost, and is selling them for next to nothing.

That's too bad if true. I'd love to see them reprint more of the classic stuff, but perhaps the market just isn't there for it.

I love to seeing the old stuff reprinted. I hate digging them out of a box to read. Did the X-O and A&A omnibus sell well?

Both are still in stock, although Amazon lists only 4 left of the A&A.

The Quantum and Woody Omnibus did sell out, though. They did reprint that stuff as a series of trade paperbacks afterwards (Quantum and Woody by Priest and Bright volumes 1-3; Volume 4 of that is the Q2 mini-series).
