I haven't seen the item personally, but it doesn't look like a full black, more like Tamiya's NATO black or Rubber Black with a gloss finish. If you look away from the sheen, it appears just a hair reserved. But that could just be the picture.

You'll notice the shoulder harnesses are even blacker. So the shirt is definitely a tick up from that with regard to tint.
