Re: Dead Drop #2 Discussion
I'm not seeing much point to this series. The artwork sucks and though I thought the writing on the first issue was fun, I felt like the second was written by someone who knew little about Archer. I buy this only because I buy all Valiant, but I'll be glad when Dead Drop and Imperium are done.

Me too.FormerReader wrote:whovian wrote: but I'll be glad when Dead Drop and Imperium are done. You don't like Imperium? I thought it has been one of the better series.

I would rank it easily in VEI's top 3, and quite probably as the best book they have done from this reader's perspective.

Still, different strokes for different folks.

VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I liked the art.

This thread needs some "positive" vibes. That's the most I can doShadowman99 wrote:Haha, *just* the art? The plot is amazing!jeremycoe wrote:I liked the art.

Oh, I thought you meant you only liked the art and not the story in Imperium. Thought that was an odd thing to say!jeremycoe wrote:This thread needs some "positive" vibes. Hopefully issues 3 and 4 are better.

Well, I'm not really a fan of Dead Drop, but there are (thankfully) only two more issues to go, so I don't see any harm in buying them to see what happens in the end

Re: Dead Drop #2 Discussion
In actuality, I really didn't like the story in Imperium #5. I guess maybe my expectations were too high. It was better than Dead Drop #2, though.Shadowman99 wrote:Oh, I thought you meant you only liked the art and not the story in Imperium. Didn't realise you were talking about Dead Drop!

Michael Spicer's colors are awesome! But... it's not enough. I'll be voting with my dollar and skipping issue #3.
"What was appealing about the moment would be, in time, the cause of its end. It was the first time I experienced an identifiable algodonic state. That is, I became capable of observing beauty while experiencing sadness simultaneously." -- Joshua Dysart, Imperium #3
