pbs from Dark Horse is great, though its still coming together, so its a great time for people to jump on board capt Midnight has been the most consistent, thoughIm loving the new direction taken on Ghost, and am floored by X; this title literally soared at about the issue 8 or 9 mark its been THE pbs title to read since then plus, theres only 3 monthlies in the pbs universe so fAr the rest are minis, so its not a huge investment to jump in also reading the gold key titles from Dynamite, love their pulp books but only Shadow is curretntly in production, though a new Lone Ranger is coming soon
like rocketeer from IDW but they havent had anything in a year getting Big Trouble in little china from Boom, cause BTLC is my fave movie and this series is the next best thing to a movie sequel

Aomalle, I agree with you on Captain Midnight. At first it didn't grab me, but the more I read it the more hooked I get. The mystery around what Project Black Sky is, and the revelations as to how Albright's inventions have impacted the world has made this a compelling read. I have read the first Brain Boy series... it was ok, typical stellar work from Fred Van Lente. Going to read the second mini soon, and then Skyman and Blackout. I just got all of the current Ghost, and am trying to track down the rest of X.

As to the Dynakey stuff... meh. :-|

Captain Midnights not too bad I'd agree. I haven't read the rest of PBS

as for Dynakey, Magnus isn't bad, I ditched Turok early, and Solar I couldn't get into (I've honestly never understood the aww people have about that character)

Pretty much, I wasn't getting into VEI and it felt more like a chore to slog through the first couple issues of X-O Manowar and Harbinger combined with some serious money problems I was having made dropping VEI from my pull list not all that hard. If I'm not enjoying my media I see no reason why to continue buying it just in the hopes it will get better or at the expense of not be able to buy and support other media that I do enjoy.

I'm really not all that partial to any one particular company so long as the story is well written and concise. I have however been reading a good portion of DC's New 52 line and most of it isn't bad as it's been made out to be though it's overall execution could have been better thought out

All new X-Factor(Ending in January)

Image:

IDW:
The Maxx: Maxximized

When I have a little space on my pulllist I like to catch up on Captain Midnight(I'm currently at Issue #4, I got the issues from #5 to #11 coming) and X(sadly only at issue #4 with that title) and only read the first issue of Ghost

Aside from Valiant of which I still get 'em all(Q&W is likely to go though). The monthly books I get are ones I feel need my support to likely stay in print. I get all "A-list" characters in TPB/HC sometimes timely, sometimes not.

Marvel: 7
Black Widow
Punisher
Deathlok
Moon Knight
Spider-Woman
GotG
Guardians 3000

DC: 3
Aquaman
Aquaman & the Others
Justice League Dark

Dark Horse: 3 (Project Black Sky--great superhero mini-verse, if you've not tried it, you should)
Captain Midnight
Ghost
X

Dynamite: 3
Solar
Magnus
Turok

IDW: 2
TMNT ongoing (great blend of original Mirage, tv show, Archie era material + their own spin)
TMNT mini-series

Mike Richardson says that Barb Wire is coming for reintroduction in '15. Captain Midnight's title is assumed to end at #24. Ghost & X are unaffected. Dark Horse is going to market their superhero line harder in '15 he says. It really is a great list of character and I'd prefer Midnight not end. That's a little gem among my monthly reads. Since it's so under the radar I feel I'm part of secret club that "gets it" while others are reading blah Avenger title #5.

I'll add Ant-Man in Feb when that debuts and not feel bad about it cause the DynaKey books will have ended.

I read the first arc of Lazarus, not bad, not enough for me to stay. Same for East of West. I may sample the first Manifest Destiny tpb.
Sex and Sex Criminals is not my type of read. If I want porn I'll just buy it. The stories they are telling could be told other ways. It's clear that the nudity is meant to be the selling point and hey if that's peoples thing fine by me. It's just not how I enjoy this medium.
I may one day go back and read Walking Dead but I sampled it way, way back in the 30's and frankly enjoy the show enough to want to be comparing it to the book right now.

I'm going to pick up Spawn #250 and Savage Dragon #200 but I don't think I'll suddenly start getting them again.

I gotta catch up with East of West and Manhattan Projects. I'm a little behind.

Got the third trade of Revival but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Need to get the most recent Hawkeye trade too.

Nothing else besides those (and VALIANT) are tickling my fancy right now.

I would suggest trying the following Image comics: The Rat Queens, Velvet, Rocket Girl, and Saga. Very good reads.

I tend to read a lot of the B-squad Marvel stuff. No Avengers, no x-men, but some of the more fringe books. Trying out Lemire's Green Arrow as well.
What about you all? And, any recommendations?
Image, Oni Press and Vertigo. Some Avatar stuff. Then a few here-and-there from other publishers.

No DC other than Vertigo. No Marvel other than Miracleman. I pretty much hate Marvel these days...

Tossed most of DC and Marvel for mainly Valiant. Have read Birthright and Supreme: Blue Rose outta Image along with Captain Midnight at Darkhorse. Looking at IDW's Transformers and other titles eventually.
