Hey, some of us have REAL work to do, not just sit on this board and chat all day :) Sorry, I have been crazy busy the last couple of days with other stuff. Summer is a crazy period when you have kids, and birthdays one after the other.

Anyways, really HUGE thanks to Elery and Bruce for setting this up. I will repeat again, if you have a GREAT LCS that supports VEI, then stay with them and get your books. I know, when I collected Valiant, I could not wait every Thursday (old release day) to get to a place called Visual Addiction on Ventura Blvd (long gone now) to get my Valiant books. But if your local place does not give a rat's you know what about VEI, or you don't have a local store, please consider us.

We are not DCBS, we can not and will not match their discounts. We really can't do that and provide the service we do, individual to individual, with interaction, to every one of our close to 500 subscribers (in 2 stores). We do give 20% discount to our VFans mail order customers (we only give 10% in the store, but I understand that shipping is an additional cost, so it's worth it). We ship either every 2 weeks or once a month, up to you, and charge exact shipping after packing your order. We don't make money on shipping. We often include extra stuff, like a book to try out, or ANY of the Valiant promo items we receive. Those always go to our VF subs, automatically, first.

I WILL UPDATE THIS POST AFTER ANY QUESTIONS i GET IN THIS THREAD THAT I FEEL NEED TO GET ANSWERED HERE.

Signing up with us is super easy. On our website, there is a tutorial about our Online Subscription Management software. It's rather easy to use. Below is a link to our Credit Card Agreement, which we need on file in order to charge and ship your books. You can scan and email it to store (AT) comicsandcards (DOT) (NET). Sorry, don't want to get more spam than I already do :)

http://comicsandcards.net/ccagreement.html

Once you fill it out and get it back to us, we set up your account, and send you invitation email, which has a link inside. Click on that link and you will be taken to our site, to register your password and log in for the first time. The email also has a FAQ on how to use our system to it's best. Start adding titles and you are ready to go. Books will start shipping the following week, unless you want this weeks' books. Just let us know, we do not sell out of a single Valiant book, or most others, for that matter.

SUBSCRIPTION MATCHING:
Whenever new books come out, we automatically clone subs from other titles, based on likelihood that the person subscribing to Title A would like Title B (new book). This means that you would probably never need to subscribe manually to any Valiant books after the initial subscription. BUT, if you subscribe to other books (and we want that, of course, the more the merrier), please pay attention to your subscriptions. You can always unsubscribe from the books you don't want, and this gives you a chance to try out a brand new book that you may really enjoy. Our in-store customers have the advantage of seeing those books in their boxes when they pick them up, and deciding whether to try them or not. You don't have that ability, so please pay attention to the subs, at least once or twice a month. I have had people tell me that they don't want any books added, and we can make that happen, but think about it, we know our stuff really well. If we match a title, that means there is a great likelihood that you will like it. All you are gambling is $3 to find out.

VARIANTS and other covers:

Below is a survey that we'll ask you to fill out on your Valiant books. Y/N questions. We'll use that to pull your books. Keep in mind that we probably won't be able to fill your requests for 1:20 or higher variants, due to the fact that so many people already get them from us. I can try but can not guarantee. Sometimes we get more and can pull, other times we don't get enough and have to look for copies to fill existing orders.

Survey:
- Regular Covers (Y/N)
- Pullbox Variants (Y/N)
- Other cover-priced Variants (Y/N)
- 2nd/3rd printings (Y/N)
- 1:10 ratio variants (Y/N) (if available)
- 1:20/25 ratio variants (Y/N) (if available)
- 1:50 and higher variants (Y/N) (if available)

Also a QUICK NOTE:
I know the contest says that it's a minimum of one title to subscribe to qualify. That's fine and we'll take care of you, but remember, we add shipping, so it would be a really expensive book to ship. I would not recommend setting up a sub for less than 4-5 titles per month.

The matching system is great. I can't (or don't have the desire to) keep up with what new comics are coming out. I usually end up unsubscribing from most of the titles but every once in a while there is a real gem that I would have missed otherwise.

Btw, forgot to add, while you can't subscribe to graphic novels, our subscribers do get the same 20% discount on all comics and graphic novels, whether subscribed or just asked to pull. And we do have subscribers who have a standing order for all graphic novels in addition to comics. We have 100% of all Valiant graphic novels in stock, pretty much always.

Getting my subscription set up was smooth experience! I like the simple interface. Just type name of the title, up it pops, and click on the box to subscribe. My previous online subscription was so loaded down with links, I was clicking around all over the place trying just to add one title. Much easier here, and the presentation of your entire subscription is abundantly clear. The extra bolding of the titles out next week is a nice touch!

Hope this proves a fruitful venture for you, Ed!

Yeah, I agree 100%, so easy I rarely have to e-mail Ed or Nick anymore for anything except back issues and trades.

Speaking to what Ed said about most books not being sold out, so they have copies, I can attest to that!

My second purchase from Ed was most of the VEI titles I didn't have, he had pretty much everything between the 2 stores. Also, hot "sold out" books are often available. For ex: In my last order received, I got all but issue 1 of Manifest destiny, recent invincible, twd, southern *SQUEE*, and more I can't think of right now. I've read on here that some people couldn't get these from their local places but I had no issues when I asked. :D

Also, on variants, etc, I have trimmed down my VEI to just 1 copy of each book, and I asked Nick to "send me any plus/mask/8-bit/whatever as my copy and if there are no special ones, pick the cover you think looks coolest!" Easy.

Then, he e-mailed me back to double-check if I also wanted the 2nd, 3rd, etc printings. I'm glad he did since I forgot all about those. facepalm

Also, they have good prices on MTG sealed product and singles, which is great too.

Anyway, yeah, all kinds of good stuff at Collectors paradise :thumb:
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?

Thanks guys, that's good to know. I was wondering how to handle the upcoming Dr. Mirage plus edition, sounds like I can just reach out to them and the crack team will take care of it.

Or do the Pullboxs count as the Plus? I already signed up for those.

Well, that's been our policy since the beginning, now matter how much books are on Ebay, our subscribers pay cover price for any book that we were able to purchase in unlimited quantity. Every Valiant sub got their "RARE" mask Rai #2s, and remember when VEI accidentally flipped 2 XO Covers? They got them too. I love selling for more on Ebay as much as anyone but our subs come first, always.
