for that McFarlane cover i think it might be a deal with the devil or something. it's a total mystery to me why that is worth so much because frankly i think that cover is kind of crappy.

I read that several people 'in the know' were aware that the Spidey winner REALLY wanted that cover.
But, who would have bid against him to get the price that high. Were there honestly TWO people willing to bid 600k+

I agree, It's way too suspect that the Hulk 180 matched that price. Other hobbies have price fixing... just saying... let's not be so obvious about it next time, k?

maybe McFarlane actually bought it for himself to get the publicity

he keeps it next to the baseballs he bought
