what do you think the fair market price is these days is for Zelda 1 and 2 9.8s? I think I paid 125+ shipping each on mine a while back.
It's not that I don't have an avatar... I've just been working on it for the last few hundred years.

Mine 10 (gameboy #1) came in like crap. In a manila envelope with a piece of cardboard on top and back of the stack- that's it ! They all had dinged corners, one was split to the second staple, and four more to first staple. I contacted him about it and said I could send them for a refund. Though he did point out his last feedback was positive about a 3 stack he sold. Anyway I'm sending them back.

I received my first batch from him. They were actually very carefully shipped, minus bag and board. I'd call them VF+ to NM-. I didn't see any 9.8's, but they look like overstock that is now over 20 years old. I'm pretty pleased and they fill some holes in my collection at far better conditions than I've been getting. I've seen some crazy prices at shows ($50-80 a copy), but I've never seen any sell at that price. Even online, it seems like $15 shipped is the average price for worse copies. Of course, some go for more or less.

I'll end of having 9 unique issues and am happy to offer duplicates to the board. A few have already been spoken for. I'll put them up once I receive them all. I'm also open to trades for other issues. I'd like to get 2 of each eventually.

They trade too seldom to really have an established price. I can tell you that if I had any for sale I would have very protective prices on them. Zelda has never been hotter and it looked upon very fondly by kids from 5 to 50 years old. I get queries all the time on the CGC boards asking me if I have any for sale or what a good price for them would be.

The seller confirmed that someone bought his remaining 1700 Nintendo issues. Not me!

I'll post what I have available when they all come in.

What do you pay a guy for 1700 books of these? A buck a piece? That might even be too high?...For you guys that sell at shows, how much of a factor of your time do you price into these buys, because that has to be considered. Like the guys at the local shows selling some boxes of books ranging from 50 cents to a buck a piece, I think it's okay to have this as a hobby but on a time-basis you're making a very very low wage (and taking on risk too boot).
