That sounds like a ripoff of Nightman.
:P :kidaround:
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Wow all this dicussion and noone has mentioned the extreme chance for Livewire. I absolutely LOVED her original design and now it's just very plan.

I recently purchased Batman: Cover to Cover at my LCS for $15 and it's been very entertaining seeing him change through the years.

Image

It's not in chronological order but it's a very interesting retrospective. And not surprisingly, my favorite Batman cover artist is Jim Aparo, who was doing the book when I was around 9 years old. Alex Ross is amazing too, but what else is new?

Jim Aparo might be the definitive Batman artist for me. My favorite title when I started collecting comics in the '80s was the Outsiders (picked up the first 7 or so issues as a pack from the store where I used to get all my Doctor Who merchandise); from there I hunted down all the Batman and the Outsiders back issues, and of course Aparo was on the regular Bat titles at the time. I'm disappointed that I never got to meet him.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

I realize others have a different perspective, which is totally fine with me. I'm more interested in seeing how many folks agree with my opinion and disagree. It's all gravy to me. But yea, just like you I feel MY OPINION IS UNIVERSAL TRUTH! lol
I don't think my point is universal truth. I'm just talking. Obv its my opinion that's the point of discussion.

Anyway, designs are always subject to change ovet time and they should be. VEI isn't trying to do a retread so a fresh new look goes a long way.
