These would be my picks for the best single issues that are destined to be Valiant classics (from the re-launch)

1) Shadowman #0
2) Harbinger #0 (surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet)
3) Archer and Armstrong #0
4) X-O #1
5) Harbinger #6 (kris issue - this is where Dysart, IMO, really started making this comic his very own)
6) Harbinger Wars #1
7) Bloodshot #1
8) X-O Manowar #11 - Opening Planet Death
9) Archer and Armstrong #10 and #11 - the far farway storyline is kicking so much *SQUEE* so far its hard to pick one issue
10) Archer and Armstrong #9 - perfect end to the "wrath of the Eternal Warrior" arc
11) Harbinger #8 - Torque origin story - Dysart took a chance when he re-imagined torque and it really paid off.
12) Quantum and Woody #1 - really enjoyable and funny first issue
13) Harbinger Wars #3 - hard corps full appearance
14) Harbinger #12 - maybe more of personal favorite then destined to be a "classic" ... but I love the character building and the 1969 storyline

Future upcoming issues that are looking like they may become potential classic's

Bloodshot #0
1st issue of Bloodshot and Hard Corps
Shadowman #10
Eternal Warrior #1

He just said Valiant. He didn't specifically say VEI. :P
Sorry everyone - yep, meant for the relaunch
Sorry. I don't read the new stuff. :D
Hahaha glad to see my joke lives.... Love the issues presented but I feel its too soon to pick classics... I do agree with the list and would add x-o 9 and 10 to the list

So far, IMHO, ALL of the #0 issues were standalone, beautifully illustrated stories that deserve to be called instant classics.

I like your mention of future classics and I agree. I can't wait for the Bloodshot issues, BS&HC will be a big change to what we've seen so far in BS. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Charlie Palmer and Bloodshot react with one another.

Shadowman #10 should be nothing but fantastic if #0 is anything to go by.

I'm still deciding about EW...given this arc takes place before A&A I'm thinking I'll get it in trade and buy the newer issues that are more aligned to the current stories in the Valiant U.

I could be wrong about this, but the cover art for the first issue of Bloodshot and H.A.R.D.Corps appears to intentionally obscure the identities of the team. After Harbinger Wars, I'm thinking we're going to see all-new characters as part of the team.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

I believe we have to add A&A #12 to the list now that we know the possible significance of the issue.

Harbinger #15 may need to be included as well after the way it ended.

And potentially Shadowman #13, as the launch of a new creative team and new direction...TBD

I think it's too early to identify anything as a "classic" yet. I also think that there's a big difference between a "key" book and a "classic" book. I'd put first appearances in the former category, and events that change the status quo in the latter.

A&A #12 really sets the tone for the future and links so many titles. Really looking forward to seeing how this progresses. Agree - instant classic.

Haven't read Harby #15 as I'm likely to get this arc in a trade but given everyone's comments have been so positive, I'm sure it fits the bill :D

To each their own. :)
