The Amazing Spider-Man #298 and the issue of TASM that was the one of the first apperences (maybe the first) of the Hobgoblin.

Trying to recall my best dollar bin buys:

Invincible 1 for cover from an antique shop last year
Magnus/Pred TPB for $5 on two different occasions
Armorines vol. 2 #4 for cover

Almost all my deals were conducted through ebay; in the last year and a half I've made an effort to research valuable non-valiant modern and copper books so that I know what I'm looking at.

While the majority of them were in fine condition, the best (and only) experience that i've had like this was getting Vertigo's "The Sandman" issues 10-75, plus the Special at a used book store, unbagged/boarded for $0.50 each. I had to buy issues 1-10 from online, which ran me another 80 bucks at the time. But this is my holy grail of comics and never have I been more excited in finding and purchasing comics than I was that day :)

There was no Armorines vol. 2 #5 but I'll say if it was a #4 than :thumb:

I picked up a Unity 2000 #3 from a .50 bin at NY Special Edition this year (but it was pretty beat up).

At NYCC I grabbed a Nomad #4 from a dollar bin. Went back on Sunday to the same dealer to look for other early Deadpool appearances when I had my list with me but they had been picked out by then (if they were ever there).
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.
