Re: * * * VALIANT TPB - LENDING LIBRARY IS HERE - SIGN UP NO
Great news! Now we have 2 confirmed borrowers and a potential 3rd, this is really starting to get exciting!
With Media Mail it will cost less than $5.00 to ship these anywhere in the US.
However, if you can hand deliver, drive or even fly these books to the next lender, that would be great!
If any borrower/lender has access to other ways of shipping, that would be fine, as long as it gets to the next borrower.

Wait..! You have way too many posts to qualify
j/k
We've got ship these out ASAP. Like what Bruce said, we might be using the 2nd set so we can get double results.
I'm signing you up. We have 3 candidates! YAY!

Re: * * * VALIANT TPB - LENDING LIBRARY IS HERE - SIGN UP NO
Elery and I are very pleased to formally announce that we WILL have an exclusive CANADIAN VALIANT TPB-LENDING LIBRARY. Hawkeyeps has graciously agreed to be the "Canadian Ambassador" for handling the 8 VEI TPBs which VEI has generously donated for this project. The rules will be the same as the US version: Let Hawkeyeps know that you are a member who has at least 50 board posts and who has an Amazon account. Also, you agree to read/review the 8 TPBS on Amazon.CA in about a week, sign your name on the inside back cover of each book, before shipping them (at your own cost) onto the next member Hawkeyeps tells you and gives you address for. It's no harder than that!
There should also be a teaser thread coming soon for the possiblity of yet ANOTHER lending library so the momentum is growing for this project. Let's all do what we can to make this a resounding success which on VALIANTfans.com members can do!!!!!

Right on guys, I'm honoured to do my part for the great white north!
Anyone in Canada who wants to absorb Valiant and write a few reviews (as per Dr.Mirage's deal... he's my Vfans lawyer
)
send me a pm with your address and they're on the way, I'll start a list for Canada.
Right now I am the one and only set of reviews on Amazon.ca (and I still need to do Harbinger V2 and Bloodshot V2), let's do our part to spread the word about Valiant in Canada!
We may not beat the Americans in numbers but surely we can rack up the most mileage (or kilometerage)
PM ME TO GET ON THE CANADA LIST EH?

I'm loving the fact that TEAM Canada and TEAM USA are both working on the VEI library.

If Elery ends up in jmatt's fanfic, we know what his weakness will be - well just lure him into trap with maple syrup. Dude's obsessed.drmirage wrote:I'm loving the fact that TEAM Canada and TEAM USA are both working on the VEI library.

Its all because of Bruce and what he sent me. Its always Bruce ... when he asked for the Rittenhouse Promo Card.

Re: * * * VALIANT TPB - LENDING LIBRARY IS HERE - SIGN UP NO
Hey Canadian HARD Cats, I just got clearance from council so this is how I'm thinking Canada can handle the lending library.
Our model will be a little different from our American friends, we have great deal of geography so I propose we each get the lending library for a month or two.
Our goal is to generate honest reviews for the Valiant TPBs on Amazon.ca, I will receive first and will do my best here in Calgary. This can be done in couple of ways I can think of- maybe a set up at your LCS with the review being the fee for lending the book (maybe drop a VF FCBD as bonus for completing the reviews), run it Wednesday to Wednesday.
Or maybe just lend the book to a friend who doesn't even read comics and ask them to review it for you. It has to be a honest opinion though, I have many friends who are artsy and literary but aren't in to comics but would be glad to read a volume and write a review, this has the potential to open up some interesting insights in to the books. An Amazon review is an Amazon review, the way I look at it and it's all good even if feedback is negative.
That's how I'm rolling and I challenge (lovingly) my fellow Canadians to do the same- Nonplayer BC, Beyonder Manitoba, Grendeljd and Marrowman Ontario and of course Rosey and NSCC in the Maratimes.
What do you say Canada who wants to be the next Valiant Librarian?
If I had a glove and could slap you all in the face with it over the internet I would, Alberta is the best suckas!
We might even beat our American friends with this set, wouldn't that be sweet

Not so fast Hawk!
Hopefully the Americans won't be your only competition here - us Europeans might be giving you a run for your money too!
That's right folks!
I'm highly excited to say that Doc. Mirage, Brucehartshorn and myself have been discussing the possibility of introducing a European Lending Library to the project!
At the moment we need to gauge interest to see how many people over here in Europe are interested in participating in the project to see if we can go ahead with getting a reading library over here to promote Amazon reviews of the TPBs, which will follow the same rule set as the original American Library.
I'll post further information about the project the 'European TPB Lending Library' thread to clarify how it'll all work on 'this side of the pond', but the most important thing at this stage is that anyone who's interested in writing Amazon reviews having borrowed the Lending Library should express their interest in the 'European TPB Lending Library' thread, as it'll help keep this thread relating to the American and Canadian libraries a bit less messy. We only need 10 people to get the ball rolling, so head over to the thread now and sign up!

It isn't that we're out of control! We just have great supporting members that also want to help VEI grow and be around for a long time. It is really great to see how a small idea among a couple of friends can take hold and grow from there!
Also, as I've said in the past, Elery and I aren't done yet.
We're working on yet ANOTHER project, all to help VEI be bigger and better. We'll let everyone know about THAT when we have a few more details ironed out.
So......who's the next person who wants to borrow the lending library? I wonder............
