I think his work in Wildcats shows that he can write a series that has the same tone of Harbinger as it was conceptualized today. :)

Jonathon Hickman, hands down. His recent runs on Ultimates and Avengers have been great revivals of their respective series, and East of West is looking pretty good based on its first two series. I think he'd do great on a team book like HARD Corps or Rai and the Future Force.

I'd also love to see Jim Shooter come on board if he and VEI can ever get over their legal feud regarding his breif tenure at Dark Horse.

Good point. His run on Wildcats is one of my all time favorite reads - too bad he was unable to do more. :(

Finally, someone said Sean Chen! Although I'd rather see him draw Rai (when he finally makes an appearance.)

How about Anthony Castrillo on anything?!?!?

Sam Kieth would be an interesting choice. I think Richard Corben could do a nice Shadowman as well.

I also recently stumbled upon Toby Cypress' work. Years ago (before I was actively involved ) I posted this image he did of Magnus - http://bp1.blogger.com/_RudN3G9b7v0/R87" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... ighter.jpg
It's not everyone's cup of tea but I love it. Reminds me a lot of Ernie Colon's work on Magnus. Cypress' style also reminds me a lot of Paul Pope but with a more pulp look. If you check out his work especially the Rodd Racer stuff, I think it would be interesting to see what he would do with Shadowman. http://tcypress.deviantart.com/gallery/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I haven't seen Sam's work since the Marvel / Maxx days, but I feel it might be too cartoony for Shadowman, sure he can do dark, but very exaggerated like.

I hope the Ron Marz suggestion is a joke, seriously. :| He ruined X-O for me with his run, shallow and bascially taking everything Layton and Gonzalez did and throwing it out and crapping on it, overall his issues almost equal the power dump that Layton took on the book in issue #68, the literal wtf moment of the entire X-O series, which cheated the fans and should have never existed, and was Layton's attempt to do a last minute purge of everything Marz created (which says something if one of X-O's creators went to that length to retcon everything he did) anyway...your entitled to your opinion, but man I still do hope you're joking...

I'd like Ivar to go back a calendar year and have VEI hire BWS to write and draw A&A.

I really like Olivier Coipels style, I'd really like to see him do an arc (or 5) on Harbinger.
What we need is innovation and even revolution—but not so much in the form of marketing ploys and doohickeys. What is needed is bold creative vision, excellent stories, and brilliant storytelling, in a word, entertainment. -- Jim Shooter

- How about Dave Mckean drawing Shadowman? I've only seen his Arkham Asylum: Serious House on Serious Earth, but that alone, I mean come on, how is that not perfect for Shadowman?

- David Aja on anything obv, but how about on a new Rai title?

- Jason Aaron penning X-O if V-ditti were to (hopefully not) step away. I could see him using the whole "good skin" kind of stuff. Plus, he knows how to write Visigoth like speak, just check his current run on Thor for examples in dialogue. He's nailed that Viking warrior stuff.

- Jonathan Hickman writing Shadowman. nuff said

So, Valiant could never hire this guy, but I would like to see Pablo Picasso come back to do an arch for Bloodshot. That could be some super unique stuff.

 That would be awesome.

I'd like to see David Choe write Harbingers. I'd loved his book Slow Jams and he was originally supposed to write the Marvel title NYX until I think he made some disparaging remarks about them. Of course, I don't want to see Dysart leave the book but if he need a spell or something.
