Re: Eternal Warrior is next VALIANT Masters
You do want to see the line succeed right? Psi-Lords or Armorines weren't interesting enough to warrant their own titles, they were nice cotinuations of Hard Corps and a interesting spin-off from X-O but weren't interesting enough (to me) to be in their own books (which sales prooved out) And as far as Timewalker and The Visitor, I can see Timewalker happening again (I really like Bob Hall's take on the character, and it allowed for a lot of Rai #0 ideas to be put into use) And The Visitor would only work if they went that direction with Harbinger (which I don't see happening and I hope doesn't since Harbinger without Peter Stanchek isn't Harbinger, as we also saw in VH1).Scott M Davis wrote:Screw Rai, gimme Psi-Lords or Armorines, Timewalker or The Visitor.
So no Rai, no buy.

In print, that's unlikely, I'd be more apt to say you'll see the line fully digital on Comixology before you get it all in print again.Aram wrote:Is there any word on these yet.. Such as the hope the entire library will be reproduced eventually?

I got yer back, buddy - I'd read a new Armorines series. Lotsa military/sci-fi crossover potential in the concept. It could have a nice grounding in real-world armed conflict, exploring the effect of introducing high-tech power armour into the more general theatre of war in the ValiantU, in a way that XO can't (being much more deeply rooted in sci-fi elements, what with its extra-terrestrial origins).Burrito Boy wrote:What's with the Armorines bashing?

Re: Eternal Warrior is next VALIANT Masters
Personally I thought the book sucked (Gunny was the only worthwhile character, IMO), but don't look that as people bashing it as much as it was a book that didn't deserve it's own title. (as many of the spin offs I mentioned) They just seemed like money grabs and not near the quality of some of the other books in the line. Don't get me started on Psi-Lords, that I will bash with no compunction, even with the lucious Mike Leeke art. (valiant vision, shudder....Burrito Boy wrote:What's with the Armorines bashing?

And for the record, I'm not waiting with baited breath for a Dr. Mirage relaunch either, he was a character that didn't deserve (or need) his own book either.

It had great art and interesting concept. I really liked the issue where they totally whipped HARD Corps. They are a unit, which I like, nice an unorganized bunch like HARD Corps.Burrito Boy wrote:What's with the Armorines bashing?

So I never read the original Armorines series (didn't interest me plus I thought it was a little too 90's) and I've been skeptical about their return. But this pretty much sold me. They need new outfits though, they wore the exact same generic looking armor in VH1 which was pretty dumb.grendeljd wrote:I got yer back, buddy - I'd read a new Armorines series. FWIW The Acclaim Armorines series was pretty good. Great art. Probably one of the best releases of VH2 or VH3.

The next Valiant masters after EW is announced in the Valiant masters FCBD. It's only 3 days away so hopefully people can hold out for the info. I don't want to overstep any bounds or get my LCS in trouble for letting me see the FCBD books.

Armorines? Thought it was decent. Much better than some of the dreck produced at the end, certainly.

Hopefully all of these will be available on Comixology or somewhere online, since I never am able to get in for FCBD since I'm over 50 miles from the nearest store in both directions and on my work days I'm closer, but just not there on Saturdays.chriskay99 wrote:The next Valiant masters after EW is announced in the Valiant masters FCBD. Looking forward to the announcements that haven't come out yet.

Last years was made available digitally, so I would expect the same this year.shadow5555 wrote:Hopefully all of these will be available on Comixology or somewhere online, since I never am able to get in for FCBD since I'm over 50 miles from the nearest store in both directions and on my work days I'm closer, but just not there on Saturdays.chriskay99 wrote:The next Valiant masters after EW is announced in the Valiant masters FCBD.
