I'm in the same boat on both the X-O 1:50 and the Harbinger 1:50 except instead of damage, I just never got them. So that's over $200 thrown away on common books that I don't need taking up space without the variants to show for it. Thanks DCBservice and Valiant!

Well thankfully I went through my lcs to help ensure they have stock so I only have to pay for what diesnt sell. Currently I'm only on the hook for 60 some copies of bloodshot... With no guarantee that I will get a replacement 1:50. I dont blame VEI, but it sure seems like a good portion of their incentive program is backfiring due to diamond's incompetence. And the shops and fans are the ones getting the short end of the stick.

The only thing I hope from VEI is that they are able to do something to help address these problems if they ate going to continue the variants.
It's not that I don't have an avatar... I've just been working on it for the last few hundred years.

I also am frustrated hearing about numerous people getting books and promos sent to them for free. Having been a promoter of Valiant and a board member since the begining, I feel a bit slighted.

The store I opened a pull box at wouldn't even be ordering the books if it wasn't for me.

I must have missed something. Who is getting books sent to them for free?

I was pretty stoked. My shop keeper had the Bloodshot #1 Aja variant waiting for me in my pull box! Cover price 8-)

Seriously, I love my comic shop!

Yeah, I told him I was interested in any variants they got in, he really came through. Isotope is the best!

Even more gorgeouser when you have the original ;)

I was the other that got the 1:50 at SDCC. BTE definitely hunted down the sweet deals.

Is that the same dude who ended up appearing as a supervilain character of the same name (Isotope) in Invincible?

Yup! He's got the original art of the pages with him in it on the wall of his shop. He looks just like he is drawn, except he usually has a big smile, instead of an evil grin.

I'm just taking my time with all of this.
I just got done ordering some Harbinger #1s online.

I got sucked into the hype and was overspending on books like Rai #4 back in the day. Everything will level out.
It took me years just to get a Harby pink, and I got that before ever having an original #1.

Yes, now is always better-- but damn it feels good to know that next month there will be new Valiants.

That's really cool. That dude is famous for life!! I would love to check out that store someday - the website is great. I'd love to see the Toilette Seat Museum :D

I got a few at at SDCC... :D

What funny is my retailer takes the most horrible records. I ordered 50 BS #1 from him 25 of both regular & Pullbox. So I go yesterday to pick them up since I was at SDCC and unable to get them last week. In my box was 10 Pullbox, 10 Regular Covers, 3 Aja 1:20, 1 BS 1:50..... I'm think to myself where are the other 30 copies of BS #1 I ordered to get those Variants that are already in my Pulled box waiting for me? Then I thought wait, obviously he knows that's why I ordered 50 copies of BS #1 to get those Variants.... He decided that since he didn't really order any for the shop for his customers. He would use the copies that I ordered and still give me the Variants. Wait What? I'm confused. Either way I guess I win on this since he charged me only cover price for the Variants.

Try checking in on a few LCS's a few times each. Some of them have no clue about the variants. The main one I buy from I kept checking the shelf everytime I went in for new comic book day and then last week I scored the X-O #1 Aja 1:20 variant for cover price. I think they just stuck it up there bc they finished selling the reg and pb's. I got the X-O #1 2nd and 3rd print by asking my LCS to order them in for me. Sometimes you just gotta look and/or ask.

I've also been extremely lucky and yeah I won a Harby #1 QR and a Bloodshot #1 Aja on twitter. But like many of the other people that win those contests i've been helping to spread the word big time on twitter. So if you begrudge a guy for that you're just being a *SQUEE*.

And I don't know why how long you've been registered on this board somehow makes you more worthy. I was a HUGE Valiant fan back in the 90's when I was in High School and bought every single title every month. I had a few of the more hard to find issues but I had never even seen a Gold. And you can get one of those like the dude with the truck. EARN IT. GET LUCKY. BUY IT. or just SHUT UP and enjoy the fact that after so many years we have Valiant back . isn't it all about the awesome comics or am I just missing something? no wait instead i'll just obsess about the variants I don't have. so tired of these threads.

It is nice that you assume I haven't checked local comic shops, I have didn't find them
It is nice that you assume I didn't order them or asked a store to order them. I did and didn't get them.
It is nice that you assume I haven't spread the word. I have numerous times for the new VALIANT and the old.
It is nice that you assume I haven't entered contests. I have entered and drawn fan art.
It is nice that you don't understand the history of the boards or how long many here have keep Valiant going.

It is nice that you assume I haven't entered contests. I have entered and drawn fan art.
It is nice that you don't understand the history of the boards or how long many here have keep Valiant going.

So sorry to have bothered you with voicing my frustration. I will be sure to run all further posts past you in the future. I don't want to make you read a thread you are tired of. Please excuse me for failing to read your mind and to know what threads you have read.
It's funny bc I don't recall making ANY assumptions about you specifically in my post. Just told how I got some. Seems to me you're the one making more assumptions about me. And as far as a snobbish attitude towards someone bc they are a "noob" to a message board you can *SQUEE* right off with that one. Sure I wasn't part of this board since the beginning but I started buying original Valiant right along with everyone else when Unity was coming out so I don't see how in any way you and I are different in keeping Valiant going.
