I don't think VEI needs constructive criticism on these boards. I think they can use this site as a gauge if they know the members well. As you indicate, there are some that will convey their enthusiasm no matter what and that's fine. There are some who are likely to bash no matter what and that's fine too.

I think it was pretty obvious by the reactions here to the first Doctor Solar book on how that line was going to do - be cancelled quickly. Same with Atlas and Crossgen. Message board apathy = apathy in the LCS.


In regards to the art, while I think the photoshop work in this "for fun" version is very nice, I like the VEI design much more. Keep it simple. The "just for fun" design takes too much emphasis away from the face and shifts viewers eyes more toward the midsection and crank.

Ya know....you're becoming increasingly intellectual.....

and I fully agree. A Lovefest will only last so long, new books will require excellence to survive in today's market. If they don't stand out, they won't last.
