I think the complaint is with the venue. If you want to bash this book, start a different thread.

It does feel like a violation of some unwritten forum etiquette to bash this book in this thread.

No, it isn't. I've stated negative opinions on books that I didn't like in other preview threads, and this no different than when I stated my dislike for any number of Marvel and DC titles. This is no different.

If supperggraphics can't accept that not everyone here is going to buy a book just because he works on those comics and/or that company.

If I started a thread for every book I that I didn't like I would be accused of being a spammer.

I think "Is Bluewater still in business?" would be a better question because I haven't seen anything in Previews from them for quite a while. I remember Ron Marz getting into a twitter feud with the publisher because he didn't pay him for writing a Justin Beiber bio comic and accused them of not getting permission for some of the people they were doing bio comics on.

I must agree with my friend 'strike, both for what he has said in this post and previously in this thread some three years ago.

I wanted to bash these books in this thread but I didn't because it felt like the wrong thing to do. The cover art for these books had no place in a professional comic book. If that is what they were putting on the cover, what kind of interior art could they have? It had to look like a Liefeld acid trip without the subtlety. The concepts, what we heard of them at least, were at best low-hanging fruit.

I wanted to bash Bluewater Comics and the usurious scum that ran it, Darren G. Davis, in this thread but I did not because it felt like the wrong thing to do. Any story I read about the man came across sounding like a used car salesman. He was notorious for not paying his creators, writers and artists. Bluewater contracts with their talent included clauses that said that they would only be paid if the books met sales goals that were unrealistic for a third-class comic book publisher. Darren G. Davis had run an earlier comic book publisher called TidalWave that folded and owed money to several aggrieved parties. Be careful to any who do business with this flim-flam man in the future.

I wanted to tell George Werner of SuperGGraphics that he was a fool in this and many other threads but I did not because it felt like the wrong thing to do. Now he is banned and spreading his foolishness elsewhere on the internet, and really, isn't that what the internet is for?

Nonetheless, I don't think the Wave preview was ever printed and comic books as an art form is better for it. I don't think Bluewater is polluting the art with their trash anymore either and that is a good thing.

I like statements that are utter truths. One of my favorites is the line from Sandman by Death, "You get what anyone gets. You get a lifetime."

This statement by you, Chiclo, is an utter truth.

Well the other stuff aside, I was interested in these Wave comics and so went looking.

They are available through Indy Planet from Enterlight Studios if anyone is interested.

Bluewater divested itself of much of it's stuff, and is now mostly Small Press seemingly.

I am going to order the Enterlight stuff as it is only something like 6 books for the line.

That's cool. An Indy Planet order! I need to put one of those together too.

Speaking with the Enterlight Studios guys via FB, the Wave stuff is published through them as a favour. So it should probably be considered its own thing. And the Wave guys have been silent since last year. More importantly, there does not seem anything new from them. Guess that can add up to only one thing! A DU in the strictest sense! (rather than defunct publisher). :D

Given the themes involved in this launch, I'm surprised that Isis isn't part of it.
