I gave it a shot too and I was also nowhere close. When you have a name like world's best comics you occasionally have to back it up so I thought adding the only CGC-graded mint pre-Unity book to my run would be cool. I also congratulate the eventual winner. It is a sweet book and if Tyler or George picks it up, they will have the top-rated pre-Unity run of CGC-graded books

Yea I was thinking about trying to pick it up also. When Pete got back to me with the highest bid so far.....I was shocked and in awe!

I've been busy with work (even though oil is down to $50 a barrel) and fall is one of the busiest times for the fastpitch competitive softball team I help coach. Tournaments, tournaments, tournaments.... lol

It's a bit of a dichotomy that we're seeing low prices pretty much all across the board on valiants except for a few items (this, BS plat) that have sold for prices many of us probably never envisioned.

Its a lot of money but a fair price for what it is, I though it might go for higher, sounds crazy I know but it is the only Pre-Unity comic graded in 9.9. Well done Squee.
