i don't understand why they'd print that thing in the first place...the prequel and #1 were both rerprinted in at least 3 trades...what is the point? certainly not to meet the demand for all those who missed out on #1, because if that was the case they'd sure want to print many more than they supposedly did. seriously, though that CE is everywhere, and you can get it for less than $5-usually around 3.
that print run (which i did not get from slym btw) must be a typo-don't you guys agree?

One out of that stack would be the one you mentioned.
I do remember hearing there was a second print with a greater print run than the first.

Thanks, Chiclo.

again i don't call it slym's number, smashey is the one who actual posted that in the other forum-CG checklists etc...in the dead universe section...i think he just repeated it...but if smashey himself came across 200 at once...it just gets me thinking. there was a time when no one was looking for certain vvss issues with print runs around that number, but you didn't see them-because no one was really lookiing AND because almost no one had one.
it just doesn't SEEM like this is the case here.
basically, i think i'm trying to talk myself out of hoarding this issue!
anyone looking for that post can find it here, very near the end under sojourn:

As far as I know the source data for this is the sales index that Diamond put out which is interpreted by sites like ICV2, CBG and John Jackson Miller into real numbers of sales. Errors on the Diamond lists are not unknown but it’s not uncommon for a reprint book like this to have a very low print run. That said the comic does appear to be more common than the Diamond data would suggest.

Apparently the threads where he offered these for sale have been deleted. The only thing I can find is the thread where he won a "second chance VcVSS offering" from Comickings and then mentioned he was going to throw them up on eBay right away:slym2none wrote:He has bad VF.com karma for selling board projects on eBay.J-Scott-R wrote:What is his problem, I've never bought from him but I have been looking at a few of his auctions. This guy really is a doosh.slym2none wrote:Wow, if only we had known...Christopher Martin wrote:I got them yesteryday. Thank you so much, and thanks for also including the lucky quarter! Peace.
PS I'll be sure to post a link as soon as I get them up on ebay!!
So, what was the original price for the EW #5, anyways? That should be the maximum bid any of us would be willing to pay.

His defense would be "well, comickings said the winner could do whatever he wanted with them..."slym2none wrote:This guy really is a doosh.slym2none wrote:Wow, if only we had known...Christopher Martin wrote:I got them yesteryday. These are not the only things he's sold on eBay of "ours." I don't know if any auction links are still good, but this isn't the only VF board project he's sold on eBay.

The thing that sucks about this particular situation was Comickings had three drawings and this guy won TWO of them.slym2none wrote:These are not the only things he's sold on eBay of "ours." Why does a guy like this who is just looking to flip them for a profit get so lucky as to win two drawings?
