Who's spitfire ? . . why is she a crazy maniac . . ?

I like the mage character . . don't know anything about him . . .

I liked it . . . :)
Spitfire was a WWII era British hero with no powers, until a blood transfusion from Jim Hammaond (the android Human Torch) saved her from becoming a vampire (she was bitten by a relative - she's the Lady Falsworth) and gave her super-speed powers. And now she's also showing the vampiric effects or something.
Very cool . . thanks . . . :thumb:

I love this book! The Black Knight is in it and Union jack is supposed to make an appearance also. I first read CB in Excalibur (Vol 1) and have been tracking down his appearances.

I didnt even know this one was coming out, I just saw it on the new release rack and had to buy it!

I have a couple of these.

I sold a vg copy for £20 four years ago and bought another for 99p so go figure.

Saw this over at Newsarama . .

Blade will join the cast of Captain Brittan & MI13 . . . 8-)

Paul Cornell has confirmed it on his blog.

Quote:
That from issue five, Blade (as in the movies of the same name) will be joining the cast of my ongoing comic, Captain Britain and MI-13. The above comes with our lovely Bryan Hitch cover pencils for that issue. We’ve been teasing that a character not generally regarded as British (but he is, a Londoner born and bred) would be joining our heroes, and this is him. I can say no more, but I have plans.

hmmm I've been avoiding this as they printed a page where Cap Britain was chatting to the PM in a newspaper the other day and the dialogue made very little sense. But from what you guys are saying it sounds like it has some potential?

Is anyone else reading this book . . . It's really good . . . the writer also does the Doctor Who TV show . . .

John the Skrull is my hero . . . and I like what's happening with Merlyn & Captain Britain . . .

I read that this kind of continues some of the storyline from X-Men: Die by the Sword where Merlyn fights members of Excalibur and the Exiles. I need to pick up that trade now . . . LOL

Yep. Issue #3 explains that Merlin's "evil" persona had taken over and that's why he has done some bad things in the past. But he expelled the evil and is now in full control and is a good guy again.

Issue #3 was fantastic! I can't wait to see Brian wielding Excalibur and kicking Skrull *squee* next issue.
