Yeah with the price that CGC 10s and CGC'd Valiants are getting I'd say that Solar #1 in 10.0 would be worth around $400-$500.whovianone wrote:I dare say it would be worth a bit more than that.Xero wrote:well, I guess I just really wanted to know how much it costs to get an issue CGC Graded?
the Solar #2 comes from a large store, like lone star or mile high
But I did find a Solar #1 10.0 for $15 from a store that I've used to buy a few oldies, such as Thor #127, and T.O.S. #57, and their grading has been spot on.
but yeah, I was weary of the whole "investment grade" gimick, it doesn't make sence to sale something for the same price it'd take to have it slabbed and jack it's price up $25-$50

Oh and to answer your question as to how much it costs to have a book graded by CGC it's around $16 a book. So if the guy really thought his book was 10.0 then it would be MORE than worth it to grade it!

In fact, probably quite a bit more.
Especially for the first one.
CGC costs $16 to grade one modern book, with a 10% discount if "submitted" through a dealer-member, plus shipping both ways.Oh and to answer your question as to how much it costs to have a book graded by CGC it's around $16 a book. So if the guy really thought his book was 10.0 then it would be MORE than worth it to grade it!
