Same Page, I was into the Seattle scene and The Chili Peppers, but at the same time I was into Kris Kross & Digital Underground, then all the Bay area Underground stuff that was comming out like N-2-Deep & RBL Posse, Cougnut, Dre Dog, pretty much anything with balls had my vote, but it had to have substance to leave a lasting impression, those types I still listen to to this day.

I was strongly anti-Nirvana at the time but I have come to really appreciate them, In Utero is one of my favorite albums, Cobain had really come far as a song writer. I was listening to Ten the other day and I realized just how weak Vedders vocals are over all. He really did get by on hype and his strong lyrics.

Once and Even Flow are great songs though.

I loved Ten and the following 2 albums, after that I never bought another album, it all sounded the same, bought every nirvana, only soundgargend badmotorfinger & up, all of alice in chains, NIN, Loved babes in toyland, HAIR Meatal Totally sucked to me. I liked a few songs from Depeche Mode primarily the Black Celebration Album. To this day I will buy anything the Chili's Put out, NIN & Chris Cornell.

I actually watched that for the first time a few months ago. Back in the day, I didn't realize just how young some of those guys were. But yeah, that's my kind of music.

There's a little nightclub near here that has a lot of the old hair metal guys come through. I had a chance to see LA Guns recently, but missed it. Missed WASP and Ace Frehley too. I'm especially kicking myself for missing WASP as my buddy and I both just completely forgot about the show. The other shows were just really bad nights to go to a concert and it just didn't work out. But Doro will be here later this month, and Great White is coming back too.

Definate emphasis on had but definately. 'Badmotorfinger' is still in my top 5 albums of all time. Layne Staley had more range than the both of them combined IMO, just a shame he was a junkie.

I saw W.A.S.P. the opening bands were Raven, and Slayer talk about a wild show. Doro Pesch? Hopefully Great White will leave there pyro at home.

I listed to Metallica and other hard and heavy music myself.

Are there any songs you hear now and think "that reminds me of a Valiant character..." Enter Sandman from Metallica kinda reminds me of Master Darque.

I never listened to music when reading comics. It was always kind of a ritual for me as my ex (nazi b!tch) bought me one of the small bed breakfast/reading tables. So, I could sit on the couch or in bed, reading books on this tray. It was great because I was stupid careful about handling my books so as not to 'mess them up'.

Geez, if I only had my original comic collection back... some great issues in GREAT condition. Good thing now is that I have most of all of my original collection back (except the Spider-Man, Avengers, Captain America, X-Men 94 up to 300+) and more. But still...

Great White came through a few months ago and put on a really great show. No pyro. Hung out afterward and signed autographs. I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

I got to hang out with Rush once... I went to an arena concert on Stuttgart, Germany with a buddy of mine and there was a crowd of MAYBE 100 people. We were the only two Americans there and were requesting songs, so Geddy asked us where we were from, I said that I was from Michigan and he said 'hey thats part of Canada isnt it ?', I laughed and said 'hey you guys know 'Stairway to Heaven' ? I guess that was all it took, after the concert we went to the hotel, hung out in the bar, drank on their tab and I left with two signed picks and a set of signed drumsticks. It was a great time. I remember Geddy laughing his *SQUEE* off... he asked my buddy, 'WTF is up with these Germans ? Only 100 or so people show up ?... I laughed and said, 'Germans don't speak Canadian so maybe they thought that they wouldnt understand you guys'. Dude just laughed and ordered another round.... damn Jagermeister.

It was like a message against corporations and the man... man... I dunno, I mean I get the dollar bill and everything, but I think they just thought it was a cool idea. At least, that's what I like to think.

I'm really surprised so many people on this board like Nirvana, I don't know... just seems weird. But, yeah, if it weren't for Nirvana I wouldn't have gotten in to music. They were pretty much all I listened to from 91-98. Now I'm only mildly/completely obsessed with them...

I believe my hobbies go: Nirvana, Valiant, then Star Wars.

Oh no... Chris cornell has WAY more range than Layne Staley and that is coming from some one who LOVES Alice in Chains.

Badmotorfinger was great... but if you haven't hears Louder than Love... well you are definately missing out. Its a completely different type of sound than they have done or anyone else for that matter.
