I hope to score, among other books, some variants-including the Glow & GBU-this May at a convention. Maybe not the natural habitat of a comic, but better than being lost in a dumpster.

Actually, I have a copy of all three. (I got MAJORLY, MAJORLY lucky. -Someone dumped a boatload of rare Valiant at my LCS, and I was at the right place at the right time.*) Unity 2000 #3 was the biggest score for me.--I didn't even know it existed before I found it.
I would say "Deadside #2" is the rarest Valiant comic I know of.
*I found all three in the "5 for a $1.00" bin just a day or two after I had last checked it.

I would have to say it's rarer than VH3 SM#6 and Unity 2000 #3, but not Armorines #4.

I have to say in the UK its gonna be Armorines # 4 as copies of SM and U2000 are seen.
The other books mentioned that are possibly harder to get than the three mentioned are a nice point.
If we are sticking to Valiant/Acclaim and not the imprints then Deadside issues are the pick for sure.

I've noticed that have been several Shadowman #6 issues up for sale this year. Quite a few more than last year.

I agree. That book should be a bit more on the price guide based on scarcity.

There are quite a few Acclaim books that should be listed a little higher in the guide. Of course with the recent decline in prices on a lot of books, I'm sure these will settle a bit too.
