In Junior High I got $10 a week for lunch. But I knew a kid who was an office assistant who would steal lunch tickets and sell them for 25 cents each. I would use the tickets for lunch plus cookies, doughnuts, milkshakes.....and at the end of the week I still had about $8 for comics. Which would be about 8 comics in those days.ThrillKillWill wrote:That's the same way I made my money. I just got the $2 and then made myself a sandwich and took it to school.siren3-4 wrote:I got $10 a week allowance and my parents also gave me $2 a day for school lunch . . .
So obviously I would not eat lunch at all at school and have $20 to spend on comics . . .
I would be surprised if anything new gets put out on a monthly basis before 2009.

What an enterprising young man, selling lunch tickets that fell off the back of a truck.rlute11 wrote:In Junior High I got $10 a week for lunch. VEI is a business, not a charity. If they put out a product that appeals to someone they'll buy it, if the product doesn't appeal to that person they won't. Hardcover reprints of old comics don't appeal to everyone, nothing wrong with that.tanord wrote:Thanks for supporting Valiant.tarheelmarine wrote:I'm not paying money for any more new TPB's from VEI. Re: Not Long now
Been wondering that myself for a long time. Especially since their Harbinger HC ad in Previews all those months ago (which is also on VEI.com) says to check the site for information on a small list of Valiant characters (most, if not all, are the ones in litigation). Any such information has yet to appear on there.Sting wrote:The Valiant Entertainment Website says coming in 2007
2007 is almost over , any chance it will be up before January 01st?
