Orders will not be low....betterthanezra wrote:
What I'm worried about.....? What and this is a what if... The orders come in Really below VE expectations for this...? Lets face it it's been 15 years since these stories were relevant in the comics field. While they are held high to us what about others.
I'm worried that if the orders for this are LOW that VE will be disscouraged in continuing other high quality HC (if thats the plan) on past VALIANT properties.....

Looks like the "Monday surprise" was posted on the Previews website early this morning.
That's almost a week before the catalogs are in anyone's hands next Wednesday.
I guess we don't have to wait until Monday after all!
http://previews.diamondcomics.com/publi ... 56390&ssd=

I'm fairly certain that if Diamond hadn't selected this book as a Featured Item,
the fans would have been the first to know anything about it next week.
If it was "just another regular solicitation" to Diamond,
it would have been a better-kept secret.
As it is now, the details are "leaked" early, but since they only posted on the Diamond
website early this morning, I'd say the fans are STILL the first to know.
We're the only guys who are already informed these first few hours...
(...though I would imagine the news will continue to travel fast!)
P.S. I did not know about the Shooter story for the Harada origin!
Bravo!

I think that since I mentioned Jim Shooter a few times in the past couple years,Daniel Jackson wrote:greg wrote: P.S. I did not know about the Shooter story for the Harada origin!

I thought for sure you would've been in the know on that one. I guess Dino is just full of surprises this week.
they wanted to keep it a secret as long as possible...
It worked.

Since I haven't wanted a book a week before it appeared in Previews before...Dr. Solar wrote:Awesome details! 0-7 and a new story by Jim Shooter?!?! This is gonna be a GREAT collection. I'll be telling my shop to order one for me when I go in today!
is it possible to tell your retailer which book you want if they don't even have the info yet?
Obviously, they can write it down for next week...
but I don't guess they'll know exactly what it is until next Wednesday.

I said "This is coming out in next months previews . . . please get it for me . ."
Then we went on to talk about Valiant for a while . . .

If you plan to order one from Shatner, better tell him at least 3 times. Or just tell on of the other people that work there so they'll write it down. He's notorious for screwing up customer orders then acting like he never heard a thing.greg wrote:Since I haven't wanted a book a week before it appeared in Previews before...Dr. Solar wrote:Awesome details! 0-7 and a new story by Jim Shooter?!?! I guess I'll just have to mention it EVERY week when I go into my shop for the next 5 weeks, until they know me as "that annoying VALIANT guy".greg wrote:Since I haven't wanted a book a week before it appeared in Previews before...Dr. Solar wrote:Awesome details! 0-7 and a new story by Jim Shooter?!?! A new story by Jim Shooter. VALIANT is officially back. About SQUEEING time. And notice...it all begins with Harbinger. I wonder...Is the plan going to be to make the "new books", which I assume will eventually come once the collections are out, pick up where the old line left off, but not in 1996...instead, in 1992, right around the time Shooter left? Or, will it be all new? I can't wait to find out. I detect a sense of discovery and wonder in comics I haven't felt since the mid 90's.

It wouldn't surprise me if Dino offered a special edition to the fans on this site. May a signed version? He has to have something special for us, right?

Actually, I think I like it better this way...
