How are you guys going to store your VcVSS comics? Just wondering...I was thinking about framing it or something like that. I dont know though. i would like to show off both the certificate and the book...I think that I could do it with a frame, but then I worry about fading and what not. I was thinking of sending it in to cgc, but would they just throw my certificate away and then downgrade my book for having "writing" on it? what to do? any ideas...just bag it up and toss it is a box? what...I think that this will probably be the centerpiece of my valiant collection.

No you dont make money...I wish that I could, but you cant...well I guess if you created a league and had a cash prize, but whatever...when you start they give you 2 million "dollars" then you buy and sell shares of movies and actor/directors...there are also movie options and all kinds of crazy stuff...oh yeah and there are funds that you can buy that are managed by other players...some people have earned lots of money on there...I have only earned about 1 million thus far...of course I took some hits when I first started and was learning the ropes...ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Oh hell, I know the HSX..just never heard it called that before....we have a streamer banner in West Hollywood...dino wrote:Hollywood Stock Exchange (www.hsx.com). Speaking of, you all see the returns for last weekend? Jaw dropping. TWO films over $80 Million, one of which was in it's SECOND week, and an $82 million opening that WAS NOT 1st??? AMAZING.
Anyhoo, I can't WAIT to get my Magnus #0! (on topic, on topic, on topic)
I hate to say it, but for right now, my copy of this is going into my comic box. I know it is there, my fan boy/girl buddies will all finally get to see it, so thats all that really matters. I might display it someday, maybe with a cover recreation from Bob or something like that. Since the owner of the pencils will probably never part with it.

See I will want to display it since it will probably be the coolest thing in my valiant collection. I am going for a complete set of the books...that's it. Not all the golds, not tons of Harbinger 1's. Just a complete set of valiants. This will by far be the coolest thing in my collection...So I kinda want to display it..Also 95% of my comic collection is valiant so this book wil represent my comic collection fairly well. I am moving into a new house and I am trying to come up with some cool things to put on the walls in my new office. Things that represent me. For instance I will be gathering up all of my Phish ticket stubs and coming up with some sort of frame dealy for them. I also have my diploma and other items from UGA...man I cant wait to move into my first new house!! yippee...architect wrote:I hate to say it, but for right now, my copy of this is going into my comic box. i think that I would like it if they were printed on some sort of beige paper...Not just simple white paper. Oh yeah and not glossy paper. I am not sure though. Both look good to me, but I like the greg one since it mentions the origins of these books. I think that the origins is more important than the signatures themselves. Anyone could have this book signed, but to have it come from Mr. layton adds something to it. just my .02greg wrote:Architect, architect wrote:I created a certificate and sent it to Dino a few weeks ago!
Your certificate looked good and gave me several ideas for my graphic.
Here's the "work in progress" on the certificates...
They're not printed yet, so we can still make changes if we need to.

Definitely... I'll find a nice paper that resembles the original VVSS,DawgPhan wrote:i think that I would like it if they were printed on some sort of beige paper...
probably not as sturdy, but similar in color/texture.
I'll emboss the certificates, so the paper can't be super-thick.
I think Dino will probably "hand-number" the certificates
out of forty when he signs them...

I like the history one as well but make sure you keep the part where architect's version said "number __ out of a limited 40". That was a nice touch. Just my two cents.

Latest update:
Janet Jackson has the books and is in the process of signing them.
Greg has got a great looking certificate in the works.
and just as a tease here's what the books should look like right about now (this isn't a picture of any of the actual books, I found it online and thought it was cool)

Her boyfriend is taking care of it while shes away. But I told her there was no rush as I know we can all wait a few weeks so that she can focus on her family.Knightt_333 wrote:If JayJay was to ship the books and has not done it yet... it may be a while. She told me she had to go to Texas as her mother is very ill and in the hospital. So, if she has not send them out, it may be delayed for a bit.
