Yes, that was a meaningful announcement. I was actually hoping to see new comics sooner, but as long as Shooter can deliver something by summer, I'll be very happy. I know from the time that he was announced by DC to the time that his first LOSH books started coming out, it wasn't long, so if he's working at Dark Horse I suspect he already has a lot in store.400yrs wrote: Dark Horse will probably get something out in a reasonable amount of time as long as VEI doesn't mung things up for them.
Dark Horse publishes comics, so I'm pretty sure they were working towards actually getting that done (and they didn't feel the need to keep everything a secret).

Threadomancy maybe, but given the Mike Richardson interview recently, you will be happy.cshepard81 wrote:Yes, that was a meaningful announcement. I just read the interview and those five books have me more excited than anything else that's been announced for 2010 so far.leonmallett wrote:Threadomancy maybe, but given the Mike Richardson interview recently, you will be happy.cshepard81 wrote:Yes, that was a meaningful announcement. The original lawsuit is kaput, I believe. They have 120 days to "serve" Jim and they didn't do it apparently. So if they want to sue him now they will have to re-file. Maybe it was just to get a bad piece of press out there against Jim? Maybe they realized they had no leg to stand on? Maybe they didn't think it was worth it? Maybe they just didn't realize they never served him and will re-file.
Who knows!?
Who knows!?

Well, not going through with the lawsuit will save money and energy.. so lets hope that Dino and friends can start gaining a return on their investment.

They have had four or five years - why should we anticipate them starting to do so now, given the Jim Shooter involvement was only for 7/8 months within the last year of that time-frame.IanAlexavier wrote:Well, not going through with the lawsuit will save money and energy.. so lets hope that Dina and friends can start gaining a return on their investment.

Where VEI are concerned, my pessimism remains intact until disproven.
