Cheers guys. I thought it was a good score ~ including shipping bargin.

Draco, I was going to offer 200. May still do. But I am sure I can get the whole lot he is selling if I do it myself (with your help) for £150 max. I will wait and see.

We have to hook up, I have money to throw your way.

Strangers HC $7.50 shipped. There's still one with the same BIN. Seller's a good enough guy, I've bought from him before. Has some interesting stuff in his store. Same guy that's had those sets of the Phoenix Redshift gold books for a couple of years in his store.
Not anymore... ;)

Hey guys…

Yep, I picked up a few things here and there over the past few (however long it has been).

I present to you my best Dead Universe deals of late… I hope you like them.

I finally have my own Justice Machine sketchbook portfolio:

Image

Two really cool buttons… my man, Rogue Trooper and the ever cool Jon Sable Freelance !!!

Image

Oddly enough an unopened Sega Genesis game… Ex-Mutants !!!

Image

I was really happy to snag these three t-shirts. Only went after one but the guy was generous enough to throw in two others as freebies:

Gravestone

Image

Witch

Image

And a never before seen (by me) Ultraverse shirt !!!

Front
Image

Back
Image

A ‘new’ signed and embossed Ultraverse card for my card set (and here I thought I had all of the signed embossed cards… anyone else have this one ?) Another odd thing, the only time I have seen this was for the Series II cards. This is a Ultraverse Masterpiece card, signed, and embossed.

Image

And last but not least. For a while, I didn’t really know if it existed until a board member (or two said they had them in their collection) confirmed its existence… but here is something every Dead Universe Malibu Comics collector needs…. Genesis #0 Red variant !!!

Image

And the ONLY think I can think of that is better than finally owning a Genesis #0 Red variant… is owning TWO Genesis #0 Red variants.

Image

So here lately with all the ‘stuff’ that has been going on with me, I think I did good.

Yeah, some of these things are pretty collectible & usually go for more than I'm willing to spend, Still holding out for under a $1 an ashcan on these :thumb:

I am 'ok' at about the $3.00 range, over that and I am not thrilled. But I have found many an Image ashcan for a $1.00, usually out in CA.

I scored another Malibu "Mighty Magnor" poster for $5 bucks:

If you spot one in a local shop, grab it quick!

Real tough to find promo poster from the Malibu days....

I think I am down to about 5-7 books for the full run.

Promethia was written by Alan Moore and I think it is America's Best Comics. I think there are 32 issues.

I figure it's Alan Moore, it has to be good.

I NEVER take that for granted. I've seen a lot of these 'writer' write crap after crap and somebody out there will snag it up just for the name of the writer (GRANTED, I have heard some very good things about Promethia).

I got this from wiki

"Moore announced that the imprint's 'universe' would end with the 32nd issue of Promethea, where the ABC Universe would be met with the Apocalypse. Moore wrote the last issue of Tom Strong and two 64-page Tomorrow Stories specials offering a final farewell to most of ABC's characters."

Can an imprint be a DU?[/i]

I had wondered if the ABC line would get added to the DU lists.

The best titles of that line were Top Ten and Promethea.

Top 10 is GREAT! If Promethia is close to Top 10, then I am in for a treat.

I also really liked the Smax mini. When I was in SDCC and got to talk to Zander Cannon for a bit, and we had a cool conversation about Top 10. He actually showed me the storyboards for the Top 10 vol 2.

Looks like I'm gonna have to do that. :thumb:

Tom Strong looks great as does Promethia (and NO, I am not going to get caught up in this DU)

Unfortunately, I've heard of comics from the early years of Image that might prove that concept wrong.
