PS - loved your Savage Dragon work (but stopped picking the book up in the late 50's as I drifted out of comics for a little while) which is where I was first really aware of your work. Did you do Mr Monster with Michel T Gilbert?
I did not.
Thanks. :thumb:

Whilst you are checking out the boards I may have a few more questions... :D
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Store.

And I already got the good stuff (HARD Corps 1 Gold, few pre-Unity Solars, Gold Key Magnus). He's got a Rai 2 for $7.60, though.

I already have one.

I just can't make myself rescue it for myself.

I thought both of these points were worth bumping this thread for, if not for the on-topic discussion itself.

I've come across some...ahem...poorly priced books that I couldn't bring myself to purchase, either. Of course, just the other day, I found an XO 68 for 2 dollars and couldn't resist. As for cleaning out part of a state, I'm guilty of that over the last year. I don't think anyone will be able to find some of the items I've gotten around here for a long time. My hoard is unique in these parts. Oh, and as for 2, 3,4 or 5, Slym-I'd say 4. It's a nice even #.

You hoarders would probably be doing the stores here a favor helping them get rid of their VALIANT stock, heh.

I would gladly take multiples of any pre-Unity or late VALIANT.

You might be able to find a ton of late VALIANT, and a ton of VH2.

As for Pre Unity, I haven't been to their main store in a loooong time, but when I was there they had Magnus 5, EW 1, and some other odds and ends all collecting dust.

Magnus Robot Fighter #5 US$1.46

Quantities are very limited for this product, please consult availability before ordering

When last I checked, it was still there, but there's an interested party that should be coming through next week.

Here's an interesting quote about Harbinger 0 that I'm stealing from the Newsarama boards:

"I met Lapham at a small convention when Defiant was being launched and asked him about Harbinger #0. He told me that Shooter asked him to not use the original #0 that he wrote because it was a very personal story and given to what Valiant just did to him Lapham wrote a new one."

When was Harbinger 0 printed and sent out?

As near as I can recall, it was late '92, well after the Summer bloodbath.
