I tried reading what little I had for the next podcast, namely Ninjak 1, 2, 4, and 5 . . . sorry, couldn't finish them. I might try again, but . . . ugh.
did the squiggly geo-shape stained glass background motifs that Quesada dribbled all over the early issues continue after he left, beyond the cover for #5?
Anyways, that's all I got.
So I'm now getting impatient for the new OTV.
We want OTV! We want OTV! We want OTV!

Yeah, I've read the first six or so issues in preparation, they are tough to get through.Triumphant Serial Number wrote:I tried reading what little I had for the next podcast, namely Ninjak 1, 2, 4, and 5 . . . sorry, couldn't finish them. I might try again, but . . . ugh.

CGS is good stuff, those guys are really cool. I've met most of 'em. They've got motivation and a strong work ethic too. 3-4 episodes a week, that's tough.slym2none wrote:Well, since listening to epi 51, I have started listening to the Comic Geek Speak podcasts, with #1 first, and am on #98 (the VALIANT episode) now.

I listened to the latest epi twice while doing some yard work. Good stuff as always.
A few thoughts:
1) I have read all of Ninjak. I do admit that most of it was not so good, but I do remember the end of it being better/good and actually wishing there was more books to finish the story (I can't say that about a lot of the titles)
2) I do mind the singing or the King of the Hill type stuff. I actually like it, as long as there is ballance. Like Mr. Miyagi told Daniel-san, "need ballance".
3) One thing I really love about the show is the comic stuff I learn about. I wish you guys could do a segment each time called "Comic Corner" and teach something about the hobby. You 3 dudes really got some comic info, I wish I coud get more.
4) I also wish you dudes could get back to the what are you reading right now segments. I like them.
5) The more OTV, the better.
Thanks dudes.

During the run of this podcast, Sean has assigned me homework to read Deathmate and Ninjak. What is next? Is he going to make me read Youngblood? Ninjak was ok when DnA were writing it but overall it was tough getting through those issues.

*anxiously rubbing hands together*
I haven't been this excited since Valiant did the mystery solicitation for Secret Weapons with an all new team, hidden in an envelope! Which I think was then ripped off by Triumphant for their hidden identities for the members of Company X!
Or was it Valiant who ripped off Triumphant?
