I'm not up too date on non-valiant prices (since i don't collect anything else), but did this guy toss in a turok#1 in a lot of 'rare and hard to find' comics?
this might be the worst thing I've seen in my life........ever

Jeeze louISE....$2+ EACH for 80's books...COMMON 80's books at that.

Amazing.

You all think I'm nuts for investing so heavily in the 80's...;)
We all think you're nuts anyway.....
Jedi. Two questions:

1. Do you ever have anything BESIDES sarcasm to reply to me with?

2. Do you know ANY other emoticons BESIDES this one ---> ?

Because, frankly, I like to discuss comics, but if you're just going to be sarcastic with EVERYTHING I say....what's the point?

Thanks.
That's just how JediM shows he cares.

After my comment, he emailed me back..."the only fool is the one asking the question"

So in return i sent him: "Hey, crafty response. How can comics with print runs of 600,000 be considered 'rare and hard to find'? But you 're the expert, so good luck selling your worthless comics that go for a quarter, *SQUEE*. Keep wasting money on ebay relisting fees, because this will never sell.

But he seems to have altered the prices already....

I see that he removed the bit about them being "hard to find" and "rare" from his description, too. I shudder to think the fun GGSAE could have if this guy had the Best Offer option on this auction...

So I was going to bid on this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1 the last time it was up but forgot about it until just after it ended (on May 5th).

As you can see, the auction received no bids for $19.99; so I emailed the seller indicating my interest and he finally relisted them....but for $5.00 more! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 32056&rd=1 F this guy! Seriously, that's a bullsh*t practice and I'll find the books elsewhere.

I've had sellers do that to me before too. I agree with you, I would buy the books off someone else.

That would be Mike of M&M Comics. He is a local wholesaler who works out of his warehouse about 20 minutes away from me. He sets up at WW Chicago every year. Mike is an ok guy if you get to know him. But this time, I'll have to agree with ya, kind of a schmuck thing ta do

He has been listing these lots for years. Sometimes they sell, most of the time they don't. He must have lots of them.

Don't bid. He will either lower the price back down to $20 (which is probably about the right price) and sell one every now and then or he can keep on paying the listing fees at $25.

Like I said, wait him out, he has plenty :thumb:

I wasn't sure where to post this. So, WOW, I didn't know this existed:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 5975856312

Pretty nifty, but pretty pricey.

I think that it is the prototype. At least that is what it shows on their website. But $45,000 shipping to the US is a little high.
