Because even with the lower numbers on the first few issues and the lower cover price, Revival is bringing in alot more money to the people directly involved - Seeley, Norton and Frison. Valiant's profit from those books with all their salaries and overhead is not in the same ballpark even with a higher price and slightly higher sales.

Additionally, sales of one Valiant book can be cannabalized by the four other Valiant books out there. People have options to chose from. With Revival, the creators have that one creator owned book that is bringing them in cash.

And if you do think those trends are comparable, then it shows a rather bad trend in relation to the performance of Bloodshot compared to Revival.

Something from Boom! or IDW or Dark Horse would be more comparable if it's out there.

Ok you two guys are splitting hairs all over the place. it's STILL two independent books put out at the same time. It was the most interesting book to compare Bloodshot to. Nothing else that month was anywhere near as comparable. I just thought it was interesting to look at I have no idea what it all means.

Of course those number don't factor in EVERYTHING. they are what they are.
