I have 93 total newsstand variants. Many of them are doubles and triples though. I'll have to check and see how many I can knock of the individual list.

So I am going thru a box of comics I ordered about 6 months ago, when I run into Magnus 59-64 all Newstand in the UPC box. I am glad I did this as I was going to get these bound. Now I will have to bring my extras back from NC.

Interesting that both MTG newsstands found are from Antiquities War.

Yes . . . seems like Antiquities War #2 and #3 and waiting to be rescued from $1 bins.

I have found a newsstand sales variant for Magic the Gathering Antiquities War #2. I know it does not say "Newsstand Sales" like all the other newsstand sales variant found so far but here's why I think it's a newsstand sales variant:
(1) it clearly does not say "Direct Sales" on it.
(2) the UPC bar code numbers are different.
(3) if you compare the UPC numbers versus Antiquities War #4, they appear to be in sequence (#2 is 0 71896 46610 2
14 while #4 is 0 71896 46610 2
16 ).
I think this is a really cool variant of the newsstand sales variant because it does not say "Newsstand Sales" on it.

Thanks. I just think it's really neat that we're still cataloging obsecure promos and variants after all these years. It makes it so much more fun!

Take a look at this pic.
Were all Acclaim books printed this way at the end. With just a UPC like this no indication of direct market?
This is Shadowman V3 5 and its the only copy of it I have I dont have anything else from that time period to compare it too. I scanned back cover.

Looked at a few different. The Shadowman books were like your scan. Quantum & Woody said "Direct". On a few others I found no bar code at all.

Also, all the newsstand bar codes (across each publisher as well) have slimmer secondary bar codes.
