I don't know a whole lot of legalese but didn't you just violate their copyright by posting this stuff. I am scratching my head over all of the fine print about not transmitting content electronically and yadda yadda.

Anyone think that Stankity VIP is just gonna hold onto the properties until they can sell them for more money to VEI later on down the road. This is far from a lefitimate attempt to actually publish the characters in my book. I agree the art is lacking but like it was said before I have comics in my collection that have far worse art in them. This whole ashcan has the feel of a Junior research paper that is thrown together during lunch period.

And for some reason the guy on the left of FAKE*Rai and the Furure Force*FAKE looks like John Travolta from Pulp Fiction. They can have the Future Force just let us have Rai. I think that is fair one for three. Someone get on the phone to Lovitz.

Another thing, where was Chiclo to comment on how bad the guns looked. I am far from an expert but it looks like the front guy from Secret Weapons is holding a bolt action rifle, except that it looks tiny compared to the positioning of his left hand on it. And what is the crap all over the guy on the left of the Secret Weapons picture, does he have a rash. Who is the resident rash expert? Anyone want to claim this title?

Was their EW born in a test tube? Shouldn't he have a belly button?

(WTF was that, Will? I feel like finding that mythical My Little Pony thread after that comment. :? )

Is this what you put on the bathroom wall in Loanoak, Hobo? If you have this much time you shold eat more bran. I mean the picture looks like you may have been in agony when you drew it.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

So, they give a handful of these to a 'random' dealer in San Diego. They only made, what, 100 #'d copies? They sell for $40 each & there was no advertising for them.

Doesn't sound like they actually want to sell or distribute them... Looks to me more like they're just trying to show the intent to publish. It's probably either strategy for the legal case or a ploy to force VEI to pay to end this legal mess. Either way it's a sad way to run a business... I only hope we find out who VIP really is. Why are 'they' still hiding?

The photos posted on this site are for educational purposes.
As "Sneak Peak" images, each image was created specifically to be viewed
as a representation of a larger "concept". The nature of each image
is that of a "taste-test", and does not represent the whole concept,
only a brief "glimpse" of whatever VIP is planning.

The images were intended to educate the market about VIP's
(potential) capabilities, and that education continues
via the posts shown in this discussion.

Furthermore, because of the honest reaction and feedback,
many of the posts in this topic should be considered satiric,
which VIP specifically mentioned as allowable in the fine print.

Factors:
1) Non-Profit and Educational - who is VIP, what are their plans?
2) The nature of the images is to inform their market (preview)
3) The larger concepts (more detail, story, etc.) for each character are not shown, these are only "glimpses"
4) The satiric text responses and image satire resulting from those responses

The combination of these factors are what would be used to determine "Fair Use" on a website.

To learn more about what is allowed with Fair Use on websites, I recommend this article:
http://www.cblhlaw.com/files/0206-mlovitz.pdf

Thanks, Mr. Lovitz... for showing us how to virtually DESTROY* that VIP company.

:thumb:

*The use of the term DESTROY is satiric in this context.
